ÄRKEÄNGELN MIKAEL – ARCHANGEL MICHAEL

JAG KÄNDE JAG MÅSTE SÄTTA MIG, OCH MEDITERA OCH RENSA AV MIG PÅ RIKTIGT FRÅN ALLT MÖRKER I HUSET ,men även alla bråk, som påverkar mig ,genom att Anders kör mig baklänges , som gör att jag får ett svart och mörkt liv nu.

NU VILL ÄRKEÄNGELN MIKAEL PRATA MED MIG OCH SKRIVA FRÅN HONOM. Han  har svart tjockt långt hår, och blå kläder på sig. Mikael har inte svärd som folk fått för sig. Jag ritat det, som andra målat svärd ,och trodde själv på det. Men stämmer lite grann, han har tjockt hår.

MEN VARFÖR SKA ÄRKEÄNGELN MIKAEL BÄRA SVÄRD ,GENOM ATT HAN STRIDER INTE ENS,som folk tror att nu är ärkeängeln Mikael ute och strider med sitt svärd.

Men har jorden blivit något bättre??? JORDEN ÄR VÄRRE ÄN NÅGONSIN KOLLA PÅ HUR JORDEN SER UT IDAG. Mikael bär inte svärd och kör med krig ,som folk fått för sig.

MEN KÄNNER ENORM GLÄDJE NÄR ÄRKEÄNGELN MIKAEL DYKER UPP.  Mikael har mörka ögon och lite ljus hud. Men han skämtar med mig ,som vanligt när jag är på dåligt humör ,då visar han blå vingar när han ska skämta med mig genom att han vet hur jag är.

MEN SER VITA VINGAR STORA VITA VINGAR ,SOM ÄRKEÄNGELN MIKAEL STRÄCKER UPP MOT HIMLEN, han visar mjuka vingar små dun. Han sträcker sina vingar upp mot himlen, men han står rakt ,och har blå vacker klädsel ,som det lyser om honom. Fina blå färg. Han har tunn klädsel på sig. Mikael som andra ärkeänglar har tunna kläder, som täcker dem.

Han visar på skämt min klädsel, som blev fel ,men målar han som skydd ,och allt han står för och skor. ÄRKEÄNGELN MIKAEL ÄR BARFOTA SOM ANDRA ÄRKEÄNGLAR. 

Men vart sitter du nu Birgitta säger ärkeängeln Mikael till mig????

Det ser inte bra ut för dig när du såg ,att du börjar rensa med oss, MEN KOMMER TILL ÄRKEÄNGELN AURORA, då blev du inte glad ens ,när du såg allt mörker och vatten du simmar i, därför kan knappt hjälpa folk idag, när du fått så urdålig hjälp, och rädda en fin lägenhet i ljus.

MEN SITTA SJÄLV BIRGITTA NJUTA AV LIVET ,VAR DIN PLAN NÄR KEWAN DÖK UPP LEVA OCH NJUTA, UTAN KONFLIKTER OCH BRÅK FRÅN ANDERS, som kan köra dig åt andra hållet nu, när du är så sjuk inombords, du badar i mörker bara mörker Birgitta ,när du bor med Anders, som får inte ens bo under samma tak ,genom att Anders kan inte prata med dig längre.

Han går in i bråk med dig, och då får ni inte bo under samma tak ens ,genom att du lever i stress, och hot från Anders ,som kan inte prata med dig ens ,och då kan ni inte bo ihop. MEN EN VÄRLD I MÖRKER HAR DU NU ,NÄR INGEN SKYDDAR DITT LIV, ATT LEVA SOM FOLK GÖR SKILJA SIG, OCH FÅR ETT MYCKET BÄTTRE LIV ,SOM DU MÅSTE GÖRA DÅ. 

NU BADAR DU I MÖRKER OCH KAN KNAPPT TA DIG UPP EN DEL DAGAR FAST DU GÖR DET ÄNDÅ, genom att  sitta med bloggen ,som GUD har sagt till om då. Men tar en dusch varje dag, och tror att du tar bort allt mörker runt dig, genom att du känner dig skitig och sjuk, och måste duscha varje dag, du kan inte låta bli det ,fast din hud tål inte vatten så mycket som du gör ,genom att du känner dig skitig hela tiden Birgitta, när du måste varje dag kliva in i duschen hela tiden ,som har gjort till en fix ide dusch ,genom att du känner dig skitig, även om du är inte det ,men känner dig skitig hela tiden dusch ,som förvärrar din hud ,men måste ta bort allt från huset du lever i ,allt måste bort när du vaknar upp skitig känner du dig ,fast du är inte skitig ,utan du känner husets mörker ,men även allt runt dig du badar i bara mörker idag ,som blev när folk inte hjälper dig på en gång leva rätt.

Men kan inte leva bråk och konflikter hela tiden ,som du hamnar i under samma tak. Anders och ni var klar med varandra ,OCH KAN INTE VARA NÄRA ANDERS KALLAR DIG FÖR FULA ORD, ELLER KÖR DIG FRÅN HUSET,men vart tog kärleken vägen.

Genom att Anders driver folk till vansinne idag, han kan inte vara tyst ,och bråkar om allt hela tiden hotar med allt, som ingen människa orkar med Birgitta. Och du måste ha lugn och ro, genom att du och Anders måste dela på er ,men han har inte skyddad dig ens ,som tillhör hans jobb. MEN HAN KAN INTE SAMARBETA SOM GÖR LIVET GALET ,SOM SKULLE BO KVAR SOM MÅSTE BO KVAR, OCH SKRIVA HELA TIDEN, MEN ÄVEN KÄNNA KÄRLEK FRÅN OSS, MEN ÄVEN KÄNNA KÄRLEK FRÅN MÄSTARNA, men även folk som kan prata lugnt med dig, genom att du åker ner ,eller mår dåligt ,om folk går in i konflikter med dig.

Men vill leva i lugn och ro efter Anders ,GENOM ATT DU VAR SJUK EFTER HONOM DESTRUKTIVT FÖRHÅLLANDE ÄR PROBLEM I SAMHÄLLET ,OCH DÅ TAR KRAFTEN FRÅN DIG BIRGITTA ,genom att Anders kan inte prata med dig, när du blir så sjuk av honom ,genom att han går in i konflikter med dig ,och hela tiden får du problem folk runt dig hur du lever ,men även långt tillbaka hur du lever med Anders ,det är bara bråk.

MEN ÄVEN SVÅRT ATT HJÄLPA TILL, SOM GÖR ATT RELATIONER KRASCHAR NÄR HAR SVÅRT ATT HJÄLPA DIG ,som det ser ut idag ,då har du haft din lokal kvar ,som även har en stor orsak med dåligt samarbete långt tillbaka ,och hann inte starta igång igen, men vart satt du när Kewan dök upp utan pengar ,som måste ha pengar, genom att du kan dö om ingen vaktar dig ,genom att han sitter i England ,och har inte pengar att träffas, som gör att du fick enorma problem att rädda din egen lägenhet,när du satt utan pengar när Kewan dök upp ,då skulle andra skydda dig från att ta ditt liv.

MEM TWIN SOUL TVILLINGSJÄLAR HAR EN MÖRK ENERGI ,GENOM ATT DU BLIR SJUK FRÅN KEWAN, OCH HAN BLEV ÄVEN HAN SJUK, när lever så fel ,och han stänger Facebook hela tiden, som gör dig sjuk, och kan inte ens skydda ditt kära hem, genom att Kewan lovar för mycket ,att du skulle komma till honom, som gick dåligt, han lever så himla fel idag, och kan inte bo med honom när ni träffas på Facebook, han lever så fel för dig ,och han måste stänga facebook.

Men han går tillbaka hela tiden ,MEN KEWAN ÖPPNAR SITT HJÄRTA FÖR DIG, och ni börjar prata med varandra ,och då ska han skydda dig, genom att Kewan har den energin ,att skydda dig när han tog dig från Anders ,då ska han se till dig hela tiden, men han lämnar dig och vad händer då?

Kewan är ingen vanlig man du mött på en twin soul, tvillingsjäl i folks ögon ,GUD KALLAR HAN FÖR BIG PROTECTION, som gör att du har problem idag när han satte igång Kurdistan ,då skulle han leta en kvinna, som de alltid måste göra Birgitta ,och börja med dig,som gör att du blev sjuk av Kewan, när han startar igång dig och Kewan, som GUD som stökar till för er, genom att Kewan måste även ge kärlek till Kurdistan, och blir sjuk när han öppnar hjärtat på Kewan ,som han har er på jorden ,som ingen kan upptäcka er, när ni lever på jorden vart ni kommer ifrån.

Men nu får folk följa twin soul, tvillingsjälar och Big protection.

GENOM ATT FOLK TROR ATT DET ÄR PERFEKT ATT MÖTA SIN TWIN SOUL TVILLINGSJÄL ,SOM LADY NADA SA DEN GÅNGEN ,NÄR DU FRÅGADE HENNE VEM KEWAN VAR, som hela tiden jagar dig och ung är han, vem var han. Lady Nada sa ,Birgitta du har mött en tvillingsjäl ,och då känner du att allt var härligt att leva med en tvillingsjäl, det är väl det finaste ni kan leva med, om allt är perfekt  ,då är det härligt att leva ihop. Ni har haft så mycket bra liv vackra liv ihop.

Men facebook  är problem för Kewan han lämnar och går när han blir sjuk, och då blir du sjuk ,och fattar inte vart allt kommer ifrån, och kan inte ens rädda din lägenhet när Kewan börjar att dra i dig, KOM TILL MIG ,GENOM ATT HELA HANS HJÄRTA ÖPPNAR FÖR HONOM TILL DIG, genom att hela hans hjärta öppnar för honom, och han blev galen kom till mig nu, du måste komma nu på en gång.

OCH DU FICK SVÅRT ATT SKYDDA DIG, HAN JAGAR DIG HELA TIDEN KOM TILL MIG, och kommer inte undan när kewan drog igång, genom att han har en energi ,att ta mig från folk du har runt ,och du kan inte lämna Kewan, genom att han har tagit dig, och då kan ingen man ta dig, när ni lever såhär, då känner han av om han kan förlora dig, då får fart på allt som gör att han skyddar dig från att förlora honom.

Han har börjat med dig, OCH DÅ ÄR DU HANS, HAN TOG DIG DEN NATTEN NÄR NI MÖTTES 2016 ,han började linda in dig med en energi, som är mörk Birgitta ,genom att han tar dig, och kan göra vad han vill med dig, genom att ni har Facebook som skadar dig ,men även Kewan är så sjuk av Facebook, och poff så åker facebook ,och stänger allt när han blir sjuk.

Pengar har ett problem för dig och Kewan ,GENOM ATT INGEN RÄDDADE DIN EKONOMI ,NÄR DU MÅSTE TA ETT LÅN OCH RÄDDA DIN LOKAL ,genom att du måste flytta från stället ,ni hade hamnat lite fel den gången ,och måste ta dig ifrån stället Birgitta. Men har små pengar och måste hela tiden jobba och skydda din lokal ,att låta det gå ihop med kostnader som blev för mycket ,men måste ändå ta dig vidare från stället ,genom att du drogs ner i lägenheten ,och även andra blev sjuk där, och måste ta dig vidare ,som gjorde att lokalen small ,när måste flytta två gånger, genom att du var så stressad den gången ,ta inte den tvåan ,genom att den var för liten för er ,ni får inte plats.

Men du har guider som försöker skydda dig och varnar dig hela tiden, men lyssnar inte på henne ens ,utan säger JA till en lägenhet ,som ingen knappt kan bo ,så litet, så liten lägenhet, fast det var tvåa ,men liten bostad litet kök två skåp och skåp där, men ingen kan bo ,som kommer från hus ,och trea du hade då. Men även folk som nyss startar sitt liv kan inte bo där, genom att det var för litet hem,SOM VI VARNAR FÖR FLYTTA INTE DIT, men du lyssnar inte den gången ,och hon sa till dig flera gånge, men blev så kär i lägenheten, och är det svårt att stoppa dig.

Det var en ekonomi att leva på när Kewan dök upp, då måste du ha pengar att kunna leva, innan han flyttar till dig. Han måste jobba i England ,och du såg aldrig det, att han måste hitta sin kärlek, som de alltid måste göra ,när de börjar med länder, DÅ MÅSTE MÄNNEN SÖKA UPP SIN KÄRLEK, GENOM ATT HAR BÖRJAT GÅ MED KURDISTAN, och han letar och letar efter en kvinna att leva med, men en kvinna ha kul med, när han kom till England.

Men han tittar överallt, som de göra männen ,genom att börja med landet de kommer ifrån ,DÅ MÅSTE MÄNNEN SÖKA SIN KVINNA OCH BÖRJA GÅ MED HENNE ,som alla ser vad händer med Kewan och Birgitta?

BIRGITTA HÅLLER PÅ ATT TA SITT LIV GENOM ATT KEWAN HAR MÖRK ENERGI, som inte alla ser när de springer till varandra ,och Birgitta hjärta öppnar för henne ,när Kewan har hittat henne ,som en skatt för hans kärlek som han gömmer undan ,så ingen ska se henne ens, genom att gömma henne ,så gör Kewan han har mörkt skynke över sig, som gör att Birgitta blir sjuk av Kewan, när han har startat igång henne ,då får Birgitta enorma problem ,genom att hon börjar känna döden inom sig, som kommer från Kewan ,genom att han sköter inte sina kort ens.

Utan han gör saker, och då blir Birgitta rädd ,som är mycket äldre än Kewan, och då får Birgitta problem, som trodde aldrig att han hade den tanken ens, utan vill byta ut Anders, tänkt länge göra det ,genom att leva ensam, men destruktiva förhållande är bekymmer, OCH DÅ KOMMER KEWAN SOM STORA HJÄLPEN ATT TA HENNE FRÅN ANDERS, SOM LEVT I DESTRUKTIVT FÖRHÅLLANDE ,som gör det svårt att ta sig vidare ,och då måste folk vara där, och hjälpa Birgitta lämna Anders, genom att hon har börjat med Kewan ,som även han är bekymmer för Birgitta

Som lämnar och går ,men lägenheten håller på att försvinna ,som lagt så mycket pengar på flytten, och allt. MEN GUD HAR PROBLEM MED BIRGITTA SOM ALLA SER, DÅ KOMMER JONAS IN I BILDEN SOM BLEV BARA VÄRRE FÖR BIRGITTA, genom att GUD ser förödelsen ,att Birgitta var ner till vattnet ,och skulle ta sitt liv, men varför ska hon göra det???

Pengar som fanns dåligt när Kewan dök upp,och när Birgitta måste ta sitt liv ,då går GUD in i stora problem med folk runt Jonas ,och även boken, som fanns inte mer, när GUD såg allt tok runt Birgitta,  att hon kan dö ,då mår han så himla dåligt, och GUD kan må så dåligt, och det är sanningen för er, och Birgitta för honom är allt ,tro mig ,alla får stå till svars när de skadar Birgitta ,och hon kanske måste lämna jorden, när han sätter igång ett så stort jobb med Sverige, ,måste börja med Sverige. GUD I TÅRAR NÄR HAN SÅG ALL FÖRÖDELSE ,SOM BIRGITTA INTE SÅG, HAN PRATAR ALLTID LUGNT TILL HENNE ,och visar han brukar krama mig, och ger tröst till mig. JAG SER DEN BILDEN, ATT HAN KRAMAR MIG, MEN KÄNT AV HONOM MYCKET ,NÄR HAN SKA TRÖSTA MIG.

Men GUD har nästan tappat allt runt sig, han ser Birgitta ligger död på soffan, hon är inte död ,MEN KEWAN HAR GJORT SÅ HON KAN INTE RÄDDA SIG SJÄLV ,och det är inte okej ens, att folk ska dö ,det får inte hända ens ,att folk måste dö ,nej han vill inte att Birgitta ska dö. Hon har barn och vänner även hon ,men vad gör man när han hittar Birgitta håller på att försvinna från jorden då?

GUD SÄTTER IN HÅRT TILL ALLA HAN SETT SKADAT BIRGITTA, och de fick inte det kul ens ,genom att Birgitta måste leva kvar på jorden, som blev bekymmer när hon fick problem med pengar och lägenheten, som gör att GUD gick in i hårt mot folk, som inte upptäcker vad han gör, men samarbete för honom, OCH HJÄLPA VARANDRA NÄR DE LEVER PÅ JORDEN, som har varit så dåligt runt Birgitta ,genom att Sverige har en blockering att hjälpa varandra ,när de har kris ,då måste folk ställa upp, som blev dåligt runt Birgitta.

Hon visar hur landet har problem med. Hjälpa till Sverige ,har problem när folk har kris ,som hon fick lida av, hon frågar inte folk ens ,och då blir det ännu mer problem att överleva, som kommer från hennes barndom ,att klara av själv ,och hon kan ha så dåligt, men hon frågar aldrig om hjälp ens, utan väntar in pengar ,som blev fel när Kewan dök upp ,utan ekonomi ,så illa blev det på dåligt samarbete från folk, som har skadat ekonomin, OCH SKULLE HA MYCKET MER PENGAR NÄR GUD DÖK UPP ,men såg bara problem vart ska de sätta Birgitta, som är hans, då fick folk enorma problem tro mig, genom att jag ser allt när Birgitta fick problem, då fick andra problem ,genom för dålig att hjälpa till ,och rädda sin ekonomi.

MEN GUD VAR TYST OM KEWAN ,genom att inte visa för mycket problem han fick ,vill inte ens visa dem nu. Men måste visa nu, genom att Kewan är inte så kul när han gör så mot Birgitta, och då har ingen lust att visa det. Men måste visa problem de kan ha, när de har nyss börjat med ett land.

BIRGITTA ÄR SJUK OCH RÄDD NÄR HON BOR GALET, och barnen vill att hon flyttar från Anders bråk, som även skadar hennes mamma, men hur ska GUD visa när det blev fel ,att ta hjälp av Roland, som kunde knappt leva själv med Anders ,men Birgitta kan inte leva ens, men ser ni vilket enormt problem hon fick, huset är problem för henne, genom att hennes hälsa passar inte in här i huset.

Men därför flyttar hon till en nyrenoverad lägenhet allt mörker var borta, men även all inredning passar henne perfekt,när hon öppnade dörren till sin nya lägenhet ,hon grät av lycka ,kan folk gråta av lycka bara för en lägenhet. MEN BIRGITTA GRÄT AV LYCKA DEN GÅNGEN, NÄR HON ÖPPNADE DÖRREN TILL SITT VACKRA LÄGENHET, genom att kämpat sig dit ,som ingen har tänkt på henne ens ,att rädda lägenheten ens.

OCH SKULLE KALLAS FÖR VAKT PÅ SVENSKA ,MEN JONAS FÖRSTOD INTE PROTECTION NÄR HON HAMNAR GALET, VAKTA HENNES HEM, som han fattar inte ,och nu är GUD arg på Jonas, när han pratade sist med honom. Men Birgitta lider så enormt idag ,men han var arg på honom den gången ,och frågade ,om han hade gjort det bra när Birgitta håller på att dö ,att bo i huset.

GUD KAN VARA ARG SÄGER ÄRKEÄNGELN MIKAEL NÄR DET GÄLLER BIRGITTA, DÅ FÅR FOLK PROBLEM när han ser en massa fel. GUD har haft andra länder med Birgitta och Kewan ,har inte haft så mycket problem ,som nu det brukar fungera bra säger Mikael. Sverige måste han börja med ,men han ska lära dem samarbeta en gång för alla, när han såg förödelsen och hittar Birgitta den gången ,då började han sätta åt folk ,som har varit dålig på att samarbeta ,genom att folk måste hjälpa varandra, annars går det inte runt ,när en får kris ,då måste de hjälpa varandra såklart.

Men Birgitta vill ta hjälp av banken ,som gick inte den gången, men måste fråga folk ,och rädda sin lokal ,SOM HON LEVER PÅ ,DÅ MÅSTE FOLK HJÄLPA TILL NÄR DE HAR FÖRETAG, att hjälpa varandra, och inte stöka till för folk, det gillar han inte alls ,när folk gör som de gjort mot Birgitta.

Men Birgitta lever i bara problem Roland fick problem med att överleva, genom att saker kan gå fel i landet. MEN ANDERS MÅSTE BO ENSAM, och hans pappa såg problem med Anders ,men han måste bo själv, och ta hjälp från Anders när han måste ha hjälp, men inte bo under samma tak, som gjorde Roland sjuk av bråket, hjärtfel har fel på ena klaffen ,och han måste ta det lugnt och tål inte konflikter och bråk, då brukar han gå ut.

Men dålig hjälp för alla människor och nu måste vi ha tillit till allt.

På medeltiden helgonförklarade också i de olika stiften vilket ledde till att det blev väldigt många helgon, något som reglerades sedan under 1500-talet och då övergick ”makten” att helgonförklara till Rom. Våra andra svenska helgon, Erik, Elina, Henrik, Sigfrid osv. är alltså mer ”helgon av tradition” och är bara helgonförklarade lokalt. Birgitta är känd för att hon fick flera uppenbarelser från Gud (ungefär 600 st samlade i 7 böcker). De flesta uppenbarelserna fick hon som vuxen efter att hennes man hade dött, men hon hade även kontakt med Gud vid ett par tillfällen som liten flicka. Birgitta var 10 år gammal och hade precis kommit hem från söndagsmässan. Där hade prästen talat om fastetiden som snart skulle börja. Väl hemma drog sig Birgitta tillbaka till sitt sovrum och knäföll framför krucifixet. Hon tittade på Jesus ansikte och plötsligt var det som allt var på riktigt! Hon såg hans plågade ansikte, blodet som rann på hans kropp hon och hörde hur svårt han hade att andas, det var hemskt! Vem har gjort dig detta? utropade Birgitta Alla som glömmer mig och inte bryr sig om min kärlek, de har gjort detta mot mig, svarade Jesus. Strax försvann synen men Birgitta skulle aldrig glömma den. Birgittas hösta dröm som flicka var att bli nunna och att fullt ut leva för Gud. Men eftersom hon kom från en av den tidens mest förmögna familjer hade de andra planer för henne. Hon skulle såklart bli bortgift med en man som kunde stärka familjens maktrelationer. Vid 13 års ålder blev hon bortgift med den fem år äldre Ulf Gudmunsson tillsammas fick de åtta barn (4 pojkar, 4 flickor). Det berättas om att äktenskapet var relativt lyckligt trots att Birgitta ibland hade svårt med att det alltid var Ulf som fick bestämma (hon verkar ha varit ganska envis). Birgitta ägnade sig, med Ulfs stöd, mycket åt välgörenhet och de var båda på många pilgrimsresor. På väg hem från en av pilgrimsresorna fick Birgitta en av sina få visioner som gift. Ulf hade under hemresan blivit svårt sjuk och Birgitta var oroad att han inte skulle klara av hemresan. En ängel visade sig då för henne och sa: Du ska inte vara orolig. Din man kommer att överleva. Ängeln hade rätt. De klarade sig hela vägen hem till Sverige men Ulf dog senare samma år i Alvastra kloster där han också begravdes. Nu började ett nytt kapitel i Birgittas liv! Birgitta 2Birgitta flyttade till Alvastra och bodde i en byggnad helt nära Cistersiensrerklostret där, nu kunde hon äntligen ägna sig åt det hon hade velat göra i hela sitt liv, leva bara för Gud! Hon bad och fastade och fick många uppenbarelser från Gud. Hon pratade mycket med sin biktfar om uppenbarelserna för att försäkra sig om att de kom från Gud och att det inte var djävulen som lurade henne. Både hennes biktfar och många andra präster var dock övertygade om att uppenbarelserna verkligen kom från Gud. Innehållet i dem var mycket olika, de kunde handla om den svenska kungen, politiker eller om något som bara rörde henne eller hennes familj. De uppenbarelser som har varit viktigast för eftervärlden är nog dels den om att hon skulle starta en ny klostergemenskap: Du ska starta ett kloster i Vadstena. Det ska kallas Birgittas klosterorden och det ska vara för både män och kvinnor (såklart i separata delar men ändå på samma plats). Och att hon hjälpte till att påverka så att Påven flyttade tillbaka till Rom efter att ha bott i Avignon i Frankrike under ett par år. Du ska vara min brud och mitt språkrör! 1349, efter fem år i Alvastra begav sig Birgitta genom ett pesthärjat Europa till Rom för att där få sin klosterorden godkänd. Hon skulle komma att stanna i Rom (med undantag för ett antal pilgrimsresor hon gjorde därifrån) under resten av sitt liv. 1370 fick Birgitta sin klosterorden godkänd av Påven Urban den V när han var på besök i Rom (bodde i Avignon till 1376). Tyvärr var hon för gammal och trött för att orka resa tillbaka till Sverige och påbörja arbetet med klostret. Det blev istället hennes dotter, Katarina, som såg till att klostret uppfördes helt i enighet med Birgittas visioner ett par år senare. År 1373 var Birgitta på sin sista pilgrimsfärd till Jerusalem. När hon kom hem från den hörde hon en röst som sade: Om fem dagar ska du dö Birgitta blev glad och började genast förbereda sig på döden men samtidigt var hon också orolig och kunde varken äta eller dricka. På den femte dagen bad hon att man skulle ta ner en av husets dörrar. När det var gjort steg hon upp ur sin mjuka och behagliga säng och lade sig på den avhäktade dörren. Anledningen till detta var att hon ville dö på samma underlag som sin Herre. Hennes sista ord var: I dina händer Herre, befaller jag min ande. Katarina fick hjälp av sina bröder att föra hem Birgittas kropp till Vadstena där delar av hennes kropp ännu finns kvar i Blåkyrkan. Birgitta är Sveriges skyddshelgon och sedan 1999 också ett av Europas skyddshelgon. Birgitta är mest känd för bönen: ”Herre, visa mig din väg och gör mig villig att vandra den” Den bönen går också under namnet Pilgrimernas bön.     Malena, najradije bi se sakrila da te nitko ne vidi. Ponekad se ponašaš kao noj koji skriva glavu u pijesku, a dijete si Duha. Molim te, predaj Mu se, ljubi u Njemu. On je tvoja snaga i život. Ne boj se! Znam da se ponekad a možda i češće, bojiš. Sve u tebi drhti. Želiš pobjeći, zatvoriti oči, samo da ne gledaš u budućnost. Malena, molim, ne boj se! Nisi sama.
    Napravi prvi korak, unatoč tome što se osjećaš kao nad provalijom.
    Molim, pouzdaj se! Samo jedan korak, nakon njega drugi pa treći. I tako dalje. Samo se ne osvrći natrag.
    U Njemu možeš učiniti sve. U Njemu, jer:

    Paul the Roman Citizen

    The crowd listened to Paul until he said this. Then they raised their voices and shouted, “Rid the earth of him! He’s not fit to live!”

    As they were shouting and throwing off their cloaks and flinging dust into the air, the commander ordered that Paul be taken into the barracks. He directed that he be flogged and interrogated in order to find out why the people were shouting at him like this. As they stretched him out to flog him, Paul said to the centurion standing there, “Is it legal for you to flog a Roman citizen who hasn’t even been found guilty?”

    When the centurion heard this, he went to the commander and reported it. “What are you going to do?” he asked. “This man is a Roman citizen.”

    The commander went to Paul and asked, “Tell me, are you a Roman citizen?”

    “Yes, I am,” he answered.

    Then the commander said, “I had to pay a lot of money for my citizenship.”

    “But I was born a citizen,” Paul replied.

    Those who were about to interrogate him withdrew immediately. The commander himself was alarmed when he realized that he had put Paul, a Roman citizen, in chains.

    Paul Before the Sanhedrin

    The commander wanted to find out exactly why Paul was being accused by the Jews. So the next day he released him and ordered the chief priests and all the members of the Sanhedrin to assemble. Then he brought Paul and had him stand before them.

    Acts 23:1-11

    Paul looked straight at the Sanhedrin and said, “My brothers, I have fulfilled my duty to God in all good conscience to this day.” At this the high priest Ananias ordered those standing near Paul to strike him on the mouth. Then Paul said to him, “God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! You sit there to judge me according to the law, yet you yourself violate the law by commanding that I be struck!”

    Those who were standing near Paul said, “How dare you insult God’s high priest!”

    Paul replied, “Brothers, I did not realize that he was the high priest; for it is written: ‘Do not speak evil about the ruler of your people.’[a]”

    Then Paul, knowing that some of them were Sadducees and the others Pharisees, called out in the Sanhedrin, “My brothers, I am a Pharisee, descended from Pharisees. I stand on trial because of the hope of the resurrection of the dead.” When he said this, a dispute broke out between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the assembly was divided. (The Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, and that there are neither angels nor spirits, but the Pharisees believe all these things.)

    There was a great uproar, and some of the teachers of the law who were Pharisees stood up and argued vigorously. “We find nothing wrong with this man,” they said. “What if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?” The dispute became so violent that the commander was afraid Paul would be torn to pieces by them. He ordered the troops to go down and take him away from them by force and bring him into the barracks.

    The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

    The Plot to Kill Paul

    12 The next morning some Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul. 13 More than forty men were involved in this plot. 14 They went to the chief priests and the elders and said, “We have taken a solemn oath not to eat anything until we have killed Paul. 15 Now then, you and the Sanhedrin petition the commander to bring him before you on the pretext of wanting more accurate information about his case. We are ready to kill him before he gets here.”

    16 But when the son of Paul’s sister heard of this plot, he went into the barracks and told Paul.

    17 Then Paul called one of the centurions and said, “Take this young man to the commander; he has something to tell him.” 18 So he took him to the commander.

    The centurion said, “Paul, the prisoner, sent for me and asked me to bring this young man to you because he has something to tell you.”

    19 The commander took the young man by the hand, drew him aside and asked, “What is it you want to tell me?”

    20 He said: “Some Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul before the Sanhedrin tomorrow on the pretext of wanting more accurate information about him. 21 Don’t give in to them, because more than forty of them are waiting in ambush for him. They have taken an oath not to eat or drink until they have killed him. They are ready now, waiting for your consent to their request.”

    22 The commander dismissed the young man with this warning: “Don’t tell anyone that you have reported this to me.”

    23 Then he called two of his centurions and ordered them, “Get ready a detachment of two hundred soldiers, seventy horsemen and two hundred spearmen[b] to go to Caesarea at nine tonight. 24 Provide horses for Paul so that he may be taken safely to Governor Felix.”

    27 This man was seized by the Jews and they were about to kill him, but I came with my troops and rescued him, for I had learned that he is a Roman citizen. 28 I wanted to know why they were accusing him, so I brought him to their Sanhedrin. 29 I found that the accusation had to do with questions about their law, but there was no charge against him that deserved death or imprisonment. 30 When I was informed of a plot to be carried out against the man, I sent him to you at once. I also ordered his accusers to present to you their case against him.

    POTVRDA I SAKRAMENT POTVRDE

    Krštenje, Euharistija i Potvrda čine sakramente kršćanske inicijacije – uvođenje u cjelovit kršćanski život. Nema potpunog kršćanina ako nije primio sva tri ova sakramenta.

    “Zajedno s krštenjem i euharistijom sakrament Potvrde tvori cjelinu ‘sakramenata kršćanske inicijacije’, jedinstvo koje treba čuvati. Vjernicima treba zato tumačiti kako je primanje ovog sakramenta nužno za utvrđenje krsne milosti. ‘Po sakramentu Potvrde krštenici se još savršenije vežu uz Crkvu, obdaruju se posebnom jakošću Duha Svetoga te su tako obvezniji kao pravi Kristovi svjedoci da riječju i djelom šire i brane vjeru’.“ (KKC 1285)

    1. Potvrda u Božjem naumu spasenja

    Što je bitno za sakrament Potvrde?

    Bitno je to da su krštenici na poseban način obdareni jakošću Duha Svetoga, božanske osobe koja ih čvrsto veže uz Crkvu da bi kao pravi Kristovi svjedoci, ne samo riječju, nego i djelom živjeli, branili i promicali svoju vjeru.

    Već u Starom Zavjetu proroci su navijestili da će Duh Gospodnji počivati na Božjem poslaniku, na Mesiji, kako bi mogao ostvariti svoje poslanje. Silazak Duha Svetoga na Isusa dok je bio kršten u rijeci Jordanu bio je za prisutne znak da je On taj Božji poslanik, Mesija, Sin Božji, čija će se cjelokupna misija ostvariti u zajedništvu s Duhom Svetim što mu ga Otac daje u obilju.

    “Proroci su u Starom zavjetu navijestili da će Duh Gospodnji počivati na očekivanom Mesiji radi njegova spasenjskog poslanja. Silazak Duha Svetoga nad Isusa u trenutku kada ga je Ivan krstio bijaše znak da je on onaj koji ima doći, da je Mesija, Sin Božji. Budući da je bio začet po Duhu Svetom, sav je život i poslanje proveo u potpunom zajedništvu s Duhom Svetim što mu ga je Otac dao ‘bez mjere’ (Iv 3,34).“ (KKC 1286)

    Pa ipak ova punina Duha Gospodnjeg neće biti rezervirana samo za Mesiju nego za cijeli mesijanski narod koji će nastati od njega, kome će Krist biti kamen temeljac.

    Na mnogo mjesta u Evanđelju Krist je obećao svojima da će na njih izliti svoga Duha, obećanje koje je prvi put ostvareno na dan njegova uskrsnuća te posebno svečano na Dan Duhova kada su apostoli ispunjeni Duhom Svetim počeli naviještati veličanstvena djela Božja. A Petar će tom zgodom zasvjedočiti da je silazak Duha Svetoga na apostole znak mesijanskih vremena. Oni koji su povjerovali njihovu pripovijedanju i koji su se krstili, primili su Duha Svetoga.

    “Ta punina Duha nije imala ostati samo Mesijina, nego se trebala priopćiti i svemu mesijanskom narodu. U više navrata Krist je obećao izljev Duha. To je obećanje ostvario ponajprije na dan Vazma (Iv 20,22) i potom, na još jasniji način, na dan Pedesetnice. Ispunjeni Duhom Svetim apostoli započinju razglašavati ‘veličanstvena djela Božja’ (Dj 2,11), a Petar izjavljuje kako je ovaj izljev Duha znak mesijanskih vremena. Svi koji su povjerovali apostolskom propovijedanju i dali se krstiti, primili su i oni dar Duha Svetoga.“ (KKC 1287)

    Od toga vremena pa sve do danas apostoli i njihovi nasljednici su posebnim obredom polaganjem ruku na krštenike, mazanjem svetim uljem te izgovaranjem riječi: “Primi pečat dara Duha Svetoga“ podjeljivali i podjeljuju da Duha Gospodnjega. A učinci toga primljenoga dara u čovjeku su dovođenje do punine krsne milosti, još korjenitije poniranje u božansko sinovstvo, čvršća veza s Kristom, porast darova Duha Svetoga u nama, potpunija veza s Crkvom te posebna snaga Duha Svetoga koja kršćaninu omogućava da odvažno ispovijeda riječju i djelom svoju vjeru u Isusa Krista i da se nikad ne zasrami njegova križa.

    “’Otad su apostoli, ispunjajući Kristovu volju, polaganjem ruku podjeljivali novokrštenicima dar Duha koji upotpunjuje krsnu milost. Tako poslanica Hebrejima, među osnove prve kršćanske pouke ubraja nauk o krštavanju, ali također i o polaganju ruku. Katolička predaja s pravom to polaganje ruku smatra početkom sakramenta potvrde koji u Crkvi čini nekako trajnom milost Pedesetnice’.“ (KKC 1288)

    “Da bi se jasnije označio dar Duha Svetoga, vrlo je rano uz polaganje ruku dodano i mazanje mirisavim uljem (krizmom). To mazanje tumači i naziv ‘kršćanin’, što znači pomazanik, izveden iz imena samoga Krista, koga je ‘Bog pomazao Duhom Svetim’ (Dj 10,38). Obred pomazanja, kako na Istoku tako i na Zapadu sačuvao se do naših dana. Na Istoku se ovaj sakrament nazivlje miropomazanjem, tj. pomazanje pomašću, ili svetim mirom, tj. “krizmom”. Naziv Potvrda na Zapadu ističe u isto vrijeme potvrdu krsta, čime se dovršava kršćanska inicijacija, i učvršćenje krsne milosti, što je sve plod Duha Svetoga.“ (KKC 1289)

    U prvim stoljećima kršćanstva potvrda je sačinjavala uglavnom jedinstveno slavlje s krštenjem tvoreći s njime, kako kaže sveti Ciprijan “dvostruki sakrament“. Kasnije, zbog učestalosti krštenja djece, i to u svako vrijeme godine, i povećanja broja župa, čime su se biskupije proširile, nisu više biskupi mogli biti prisutni na svim krsnim slavljima.

    Budući da se na Zapadu želi biskupu pridržati dovršenje krsta, uvela se praksa privremenog odvajanja sakramenta potvrde od krštenja.

    Istok je, naprotiv, sačuvao jedinstvo tih dvaju sakramenata, tako da potvrdu podjeljuje isti prezbiter koji krsti; međutim i ovdje on to može učiniti samo sa “svetim mirom“ što ga je posvetio biskup.

    “Praksa istočnih Crkvi jače ističe jedinstvo kršćanske inicijacije, a praksa latinske Crkve jasnije izražava zajedništvo novog kršćanina s njegovim biskupom, koji je jamac i sluga crkvenog jedinstva, njezinog katolištva i apostolstva, a po tome i vez s apostolskim izvorima Kristove Crkve.“ (KKC 1292)

    2. Znakovi i obred Potvrde

    U obredu sakramenta Potvrde treba razmotriti znak pomazanja i ono što pomazanje označuje i utiskuje u čovjeka, tj. duhovni pečat.

    Prema biblijskom i starodrevnom simbolizmu, pomazanje ima mnogo značenja: ulje je znak obilja i radosti, ono čisti i čini gipkim, znak je ozdravljenja jer liječi udarce i rane, i ono čini da pomazanik zrači ljepotom, zdravljem i snagom.

    “Sva ta značenja pomazanja otkrivamo u sakramentalnom životu. Pomazanje katekumenskim uljem prije krsta označuje čišćenje i jačanje; pomazanje uljem bolesnih ozdravljenje i okrepu; pomazanje svetom krizmom poslije krsta, u potvrdi i u ređenju, znak je posvećenja. U potvrdi kršćani, tj. pomazanici imaju potpunijeg udjela u poslanju Isusa Krista i u punini Duha Svetoga, kojim je Isus ispunjen, kako bi svim svojim životom širili ‘Kristov miomiris’.“ (KKC 1294)

    Pečat je međutim simbol, raspoznatljivi znak jedne osobe, znak njena autoriteta i vlasti nad nečim. U robovlasničko vrijeme bi se stavljali pečati na robove u znak njihove pripadnosti gospodaru, odnosno vojni vođe su utiskivali svoje znakove na vojnike kako bi se svima dalo na znanje kome pripadaju i čije su vlasništvo.

    Kršćanski pak pečat jest pečat Duha Svetoga koji nije utisnut u tijelo, nego u ljudsku dušu i kaže da osoba pripada ne nekom svjetovnom vladaru, čija vlast je ograničena na vrijeme, nego Kristu svevladaru kome je Otac sve podložio kako bi mu ljubavlju stajao ne raspolaganju promicanju kraljevstva Božjega među ljudima, kraljevstva pravde i mira, istine života i spasenja. Ali je u isto vrijeme taj pečat Božje obećanje posebne zaštite kršćaninu u trenutku kada je najviše bude trebao.

    “Potvrđenik ovim pomazanjem prima ‘biljeg’, pečat Duha Svetoga. Pečat je simbol osobe, znak njezina autoriteta, njezina vlasništva nad određenim predmetima: tako su vojnici bili opečaćeni pečatom svoga vojskovođe i robovi pečatom svoga gospodara; pečat nadalje potvrđuje vjerodostojnost nekog pravnog čina ili neke povelje, što je, u stanovitim uvjetima, čini tajnom.“ (KKC 1295)

    Sam Krist kaže za sebe da je obilježen pečatom Očevim (Iv 6,27). Na sličan način i kršćanin je obilježen tim pečatom.

    “Sâm Isus kaže o sebi da ga je Otac opečatio. I kršćani su isto tako opečaćeni: ‘Bog je onaj koji nas zajedno s vama utvrđuje za Krista; on nas je pomazao, on nas je opečatio i u srca naša dao zalog – Duha’ (2 Kor 1,21-22). Taj pečat Duha Svetoga znači potpunu pripadnost Kristu, trajno predanje njegovoj službi, ali jednako tako i obećanje božanske zaštite u velikoj kušnji posljednjih vremena.“ (KKC 1296)

    Posvećenje svete krizme važan je čin koji prethodi slavlju potvrde, a u stanovitom smislu i dio je samoga slavlja sakramenta. Biskup posvećuje svetu krizmu u Misi posvete ulja za svu biskupiju na Veliki četvrtak. Kada se potvrda slavi odijeljeno od krštenja, bogoslužje počinje obnovom krsnih obećanja i ispoviješću vjere potvrđenika.

    Tako se jasno ističe da se potvrda nadovezuje na krštenje. Kada se pak krsti odrasla osoba odmah po krštenju biva i potvrđena te sudjeluje u Euharistiji.

    U rimskom obredu biskup nad okupljene potvrđenike širi ruke i pritom moli za izlijevanje Duha Svetoga na one koji će primiti sakrament potvrde. Ta je gesta već od apostolskih vremena znak dara Duha Svetoga.

    “Potom slijedi bitni obred sakramenta. U latinskom obredu ‘potvrda se podjeljuje pomazanjem krizmanim uljem na čelo potvrđenika, koje se izvodi polaganjem ruke i riječima: “Accipe signacalum doni Spiritus Sancti – Primi pečat dara Duha Svetoga“. U istočnim Crkvama, pomazanje svetim mirom biva poslije molitve epikleze, na svim značajnim dijelovima tijela: na čelu, očima, nosu, ušima, usnama, prsima, leđima, rukama i nogama, a svako mazanje prate riječi: “Pečat dara Duha Svetoga.“ (KKC 1300)

    “Cjelov mira, kojim se sakramentalni obred završava, označuje i očituje crkveno zajedništvo s biskupom i sa svim vjernicima.“ (KKC 1301)

    3.Učinci sakramenta Potvrde

    Krštenje i potvrda stoje u uskoj međusobnoj vezi. U prvoj su Crkvi i podjeljivani zajedno, što je u istočnim Crkvama zadržano do danas.

    U zapadnoj Crkvi krštenje odraslih također je nerazdvojno povezano s potvrdom, dočim se kod krštenja djece ustalila vremenska odvojenost podjele tih dvaju sakramenata.

    Čin vjere, ufanja i ljubavi zajedno s pokajanjem preduvjet je za plodno i valjano primanje sakramenta krštenja što se ne može očekivati od male djece. Stoga podjela potvrde u kasnijoj dobi, kad se djeca počinju orijentirati, kada mogu i hoće sama za sebe govoriti, omogućuje da potvrđenik osobno prima svoju vjeru.

    Kod krštenja svoga djeteta roditelji polažu vlastitu ispovijest vjere, obećaju da će dijete odgajati u vjeri koju oni ispovijedaju.

    Kod potvrde se vjera traži od samih potvrđenika, koji su u međuvremenu odrasli u njoj i priznaju je kao svoju. Time ujedno priznaju krštenje što su ga primili kao mala djeca.

    Potvrda znači jačanje, učvršćivanje vjere. Vjera, što je od krštenja narasla, jača i učvršćuje se jod potvrđenika. To se događa, s jedne strane, tako što Bog osposobljuje čovjeka za odlučan i samostalan kršćanski život, a s druge pak strane, sam čovjek želi razumjeti i prihvatiti kao svoju vjeru u Krista. Što se u dubini krštenja dogodilo treba u potvrdi dalje razvijati i jačati: primamo Duha Svetoga i postajemo punoljetni članovi Crkve.

    “Iz samog slavlja proizlazi da je učinak sakramenta potvrde puni izljev Duha Svetoga, kao što je nekoć bio podijeljen apostolima na dan Pedesetnice.“ (KKC 1302)

    Prema tome, potvrda pridonosi rastu i produbljenju krsne milosti u čovjeku. Ona nas dublje ukorjenjuje u božansko posinjenje, po kojem govorimo: “ Abba, Oče!“ (Rim 8,15); i čvršće nas sjedinjuje s Kristom.

    Potvrda umnaža u nama darove Duha Svetoga i usavršuje naš vez s Crkvom. Ona nam priopćuje osobitu snagu Duha Svetoga da, kao pravi svjedoci Kristovi, riječju i djelom, širimo i branimo vjeru, da hrabro ispovijedamo ime Kristovo i nikada se ne stidimo njegova križa.

    “Kao i krst, komu je dovršenje, potvrda se daje samo jednom. Potvrda, naime, utiskuje u dušu neizbrisiv duhovni biljeg, ‘karakter’, koji označuje daje Isusu Krist kršćanina obilježio pečatom svoga Duha i zaodjenuo ga snagom odozgo da postane njegovim svjedokom.“ (KKC 1304)

    “’Karakter’ usavršuje opće svećeništvo vjernika, koje se prima u krštenju: ‘potvrđenik prima snagu javno ispovijedati vjeru u Krista, i to kao po svojoj službi (quasi ex officio)’.“ (KKC 1305)

    4. Primatelj Potvrde

    U latinskoj tradiciji smatra se osnovnom dobi za primanje sakramenta potvrde “dob rasuđivanja“. No u smrtnoj pogibelji treba potvrditi i djecu, čak i ako nisu dostigli dob rasuđivanja.

    Iako se o potvrdi govori kao “sakramentu kršćanske zrelosti“, ipak se ne smije odrasla dob vjere poistovjetiti s odraslom dobi naravnog rasta, niti zaboraviti da je krsna milost čist i nezaslužen Božji dar kojoj nije potrebno neko “ovjerovljenje“ da bi postala djelotvornom.

    “Svaka krštena osoba, koja još nije potvrđena, može i treba primiti sakrament Potvrde. Budući da krštenje, potvrda i Euharistija tvore nešto jedinstveno, ‘vjernici su obavezni primiti sakrament potvrde pravodobno’. Sakrament krštenja bez potvrde i euharistije je doduše valjan i djelotvoran, ali kršćanska inicijacija ostaje nedovršena.“ (KKC 1306)

    Priprava za sakrament potvrde treba ići za tim da kršćane dovede do tješnjeg sjedinjenja s Kristom i do življe prisnosti s Duhom Svetim, s njegovim djelom, darovima i pozivima, kako bi bolje mogli preuzeti apostolske odgovornosti kršćanskoga života. Zato kateheza u potvrdi treba u potvrđeniku probuditi smisao pripadniku Crkvi Isusa Krista, i to kako sveopćoj Crkvi tako i župnoj zajednici.

    “Za primanje potvrde potrebno je da krizmanik bude u stanju milosti. Dobro je radi očišćenja u vidu primanja dara Duha Svetoga pristupiti sakramentu pokore. Za poučljivo i raspoloživo primanje snage i milosti Duha Svetoga treba se pripremiti predanijom molitvom.“ (KKC 1310)

    “Kao za krštenje, tako je i za potvrdu prikladno da zbog duhovne pomoći krizmanici potraže kuma ili kumu. Dobro je da kum bude isti kao i kod krštenja da se bolje naglasi jedinstvo dvaju sakramenata.“ (KKC 1311)

    5. Služitelj Potvrde

    Izvorni djelitelj potvrde je biskup. Na Istoku redovito svećenik koji krsti, odmah u jednom te istom slavlju podjeljuje i sakrament potvrde. Međutim on to čini svetom krizmom što ju je prethodno posvetio patrijarh ili biskup. Time se izražava apostolsko jedinstvo Crkve koje se učvršćuje sakramentom potvrde. U latinskoj Crkvi ista se disciplina primjenjuje pri krštenju odraslih ili kad se u puno zajedništvo s katoličkom Crkvom uvodi krštena osoba član druge kršćanske zajednice, u koje sakrament potvrde nije valjan. Nakon čega slijedi sudjelovanje u Euharistiji. Slavlje potvrde za vrijeme euharistijskog slavlja ističe jedinstvo triju sakramenata kršćanske inicijacije.

    “U latinskom obredu redovito djelitelj potvrde jest biskup. Premda biskup može iz važnih razloga, nekim svećenicima dati ovlast da dijele potvrdu, dobro je ipak da je, radi značenja samog sakramenta, podjeljuje on sam, ne zaboravljajući pritom da je upravo radi toga slavlje potvrde na određeno vrijeme odijeljeno od krštenja. Biskupi su nasljednici apostola koji su primili puninu sakramenta reda. I stoga, kad oni dijele sakrament potvrde, to jasno označuje da je učinak sakramenta da one koji ga primaju tješnje sjedini s Crkvom, s njezinim apostolskim izvorima i poslanjem da svjedoče za Krista.“ (KKC 1313)

    CNA Staff, May 4, 2020 / 11:45 am MT (CNA).- Modern society is formulating an “anti-Christian creed” and punishing those who resist it with “social excommunication,” Benedict XVI has said in a new biography, published in Germany May 4.

    In a wide-ranging interview at the end of the 1,184-page book, written by German author Peter Seewald, the pope emeritus said the greatest threat facing the Church was a “worldwide dictatorship of seemingly humanistic ideologies.”

    Benedict XVI, who resigned as pope in 2013, made the comment in response to a question about what he had meant at his 2005 inauguration, when he urged Catholics to pray for him “that I may not flee for fear of the wolves.”

    He told Seewald that he was not referring to internal Church matters, such as the “Vatileaks” scandal, which led to the conviction of his personal butler, Paolo Gabriele, for stealing confidential Vatican documents.

    In an advanced copy of “Benedikt XVI – Ein Leben” (A Life), seen by CNA, the pope emeritus said: “Of course, issues such as ‘Vatileaks’ are exasperating and, above all, incomprehensible and highly disturbing to people in the world at large.”

    “But the real threat to the Church and thus to the ministry of St. Peter consists not in these things, but in the worldwide dictatorship of seemingly humanistic ideologies, and to contradict them constitutes exclusion from the basic social consensus.”

    He continued: “A hundred years ago, everyone would have thought it absurd to speak of homosexual marriage. Today whoever opposes it is socially excommunicated. The same applies to abortion and the production of human beings in the laboratory.”

    “Modern society is in the process of formulating an ‘anti-Christian creed,’ and resisting it is punishable by social excommunication. The fear of this spiritual power of the Antichrist is therefore only too natural, and it truly takes the prayers of a whole diocese and the universal Church to resist it.”

    The biography, issued by Munich-based publisher Droemer Knaur, is available only in German. An English translation, “Benedict XVI, The Biography: Volume One,” will be published in the U.S. on Nov. 17.

    In the interview, the 93-year-old former pope confirmed that he had written a spiritual testament, which could be published after his death, as did Pope St. John Paul II.

    Benedict said that he had fast-tracked the cause of John Paul II because of “the obvious desire of the faithful” as well as the example of the Polish pope, with whom he had worked closely for more than two decades in Rome.

    He insisted that his resignation had “absolutely nothing” to do with the episode involving Paolo Gabriele, and explained that his 2010 visit to the tomb of Celestine V, the last pope to resign before Benedict XVI, was “rather coincidental.” He also defended the title “emeritus” for a retired pope.

    Benedict XVI lamented the reaction to his various public comments since his resignation, citing criticism of his tribute read at the funeral of Cardinal Joachim Meisner in 2017, in which he said that God would prevent the ship of the Church from capsizing. He explained that his words were “taken almost literally from the sermons of St. Gregory the Great.”

    Seewald asked the pope emeritus to comment on the “dubia” submitted by four cardinals, including Cardinal Meisner, to Pope Francis in 2016 regarding the interpretation of his apostolic exhortation Amoris laetitia.

    Benedict said that he did not want to comment directly, but referred to his last general audience, on Feb. 27, 2013.

    Summing up his message that day, he said: “In the Church, amid all the toils of humanity and the confusing power of the evil spirit, one will always be able to discern the subtle power of God’s goodness.”

    “But the darkness of successive historical periods will never allow the unadulterated joy of being a Christian … There are always moments in the Church and in the life of the individual Christian in which one feels profoundly that the Lord loves us, and this love is joy, is ‘happiness’.”

    Benedict said that he treasured the memory of his first meeting with the newly elected Pope Francis at Castel Gandolfo and that his personal friendship with his successor has continued to grow.

    Author Peter Seewald has conducted four book-length interviews with Benedict XVI. The first, “Salt of the Earth,” was published in 1997, when the future pope was prefect of the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. It was followed by “God and the World” in 2002, and “Light of the World” in 2010.

    In 2016, Seewald published “Last Testament,” in which Benedict XVI reflected on his decision to step down as pope.

    Publisher Droemer Knaur said that Seewald had spent many hours talking to Benedict for the new book, as well as speaking to his brother, Msgr. Georg Ratzinger and his personal secretary, Archbishop Georg Gänswein.

    In an interview with Die Tagespost April 30, Seewald said that he had shown the Pope Emeritus a few chapters of the book before publication. Benedict XVI, he added, had praised the chapter on Pope Pius XI’s 1937 encyclical Mit brennender Sorge.

For the Catholic, it is a time of preparation for harvest on the spiritual level, too, as is reflected in the liturgical season of Time After Pentecost. Providential it is, then, that June has a special focus on the Sacred Heart, to Whom we offer our labours and sufferings through the Morning Offering. And providential it is that there come in these months the Feasts of many great Saints who show us how to do our work well, especially the Feast of St. Martha, God’s worker, whose story reminds us to put the spiritual first and to order our labor. ⚜️

    Gorljivog protestanta obratila Bogorodica…

    Majka Božja objavila se jednom fanatičnom protestantu, Bruni Cornacchiolliju, koji je baš poput svetog Pavla, prije svog obraćenja žarko progonio Kristove učenike. Gospa se ukazala u mjestu Tre Fontane, u blizini mjesta mučeništva svetoga Pavla apostola koji je bio pogubljen odredbom cara Nerona 67.godine. Kako saznajemo po predaji, svjedoci prenose da je Pavlova glava bila odsječena jednim udarcem mača, te se tri puta odbila od zemlje! Na tim su se mjestima pojavili izvori vode. Zato se mjesto i zove Tre Fontane. Tu je ujedno sagrađena i crkva i samostan trapista u kojem se nalazi mramorni stup koji svjedoči gdje je točno bila odsječena glava sv. Pavla. Sigurno se ne radi o slučajnosti kada Majka Božja odabire baš to mjesto da prenese poruku jednom protestantskom vjerniku koji je mrzio Crkvu i Papu.

    Ljubi Crkvu i Papu

    Bezgrešna Marija u svom prvom ukazanju uputila je Cornacchiolliju ove riječi: “Zašto me progoniš? Krajnji je čas da s time prestaneš. Vrati se u zajedništvo Katoličke Crkve.” Majka je Božja u svakom svom ukazanju opetovano ponavljala da nije moguće vjerovati u Krista i istovremeno se boriti protiv Crkve, jer je je Crkva sveto stado Isusovo. Crkva je samo Tijelo Kristovo, Mistični Krist, koji poziva u zajedništvo svakoga bez iznimke. Grešnike posebno, jer ih želi osloboditi grijeha i učiniti ih svetima-zapravo dostojnima neba. Tko se bori protiv Crkve, bori se protiv Isusa i tko odbacuje Crkvu, odbacuje Krista. Gospa je rekla Bruni da Crkva doživljava svakovrsna progonstva, kako izvana, tako i iznutra u onima koji se odriču i napuštaju svećeništvo, izazivaju razne skandale, čine izdaje. Vrlo se često Crkvu krivo interpretira i namjerno se lažno prenosi i iskrivljuje njen Nauk. Dolazi do raznih neshvaćanja i zabluda!
    No, najviše napadaju Crkvu oni koji neprestano žive u grijehu, iako se smatraju članovima Crkve. Takvi se u svom životu ne vode Kristovim naukom već svojom sebičnošću. Svojim lošim primjerom i navještanjem svoje krive i lažne filozofije odvode druge na put vječne propasti. Oni su najveći progonitelji Crkve!
    U svetom stadu Crkve žive opasni vukovi u ovčjoj koži. Majka Božja je pozvala Brunu da ne klone duhom i da se ne predaje, već da snažno ustraje u vjeri, u potpunoj poslušnosti Svetom Ocu i Nauku Crkve. Poslala mu je i svećenika-duhovnika da ga povede putem vjere. dala mu je spoznati kakav je veliki dar sakrament svećeništva! Zahvaljujući svećeniku u sakramentima pomirenja i Euharistije možemo susresti samog Krista koji oprašta grijehe i čini nas subaštinicima svog uskrsnuća, daruje nam Život vječni!
    Kako se Bruno zanosio idejom ubiti i samog Papu, jer ga je smatrao preprekom jedinstva među kršćanima, Gospa mu je jasno dala do znanja da ne postoji nikakva Crkva bez Pape, bez jedinstva s Papom. Pozvala ga je da voli i cijeni Papu, jer je svaki biskup Rima voljom i odlukom samog Krista njegov vidljivi nasljednik na zemlji i nasljednik svetog Petra, Stijene! Ujedno je i pastir cijele Crkve, poglavar svih biskupa. Zahvaljujući toj posebnoj misiji koju je Krist još u Petru i kroz Petra povjerio svakom Papi, on također dobiva i dar nepogrešivosti u trenucima kada naučava o stvarima vjere i morala, te proglašava istine vjere objavljene od Boga. Zato sv.Ambrozije i kaže: “Gdje je Petar, ondje je i Crkva.”

    Ljubi Sveto Pismo i službeni Nauk svete majke Crkve

    Majka Božja ukazala se Bruni držeći Sveto Pismo na svom srcu. Zašto mu se Majka Božja ukazala upravo s Biblijom objasnio je sam Bruno nakon nekoliko godina: “Zato što sam ja obilazio ovo mjesto s protestantskom Biblijom u ruci da u njoj nađem argumente za borbu s dogmama katoličke vjere. Uvijek bih počinjao svoje govore riječima-Marija nije Djevica, Marija nije na nebo uznesena.-Sama Djevica mi je rekla da su te riječi krive! Pokazala mi je upravo Bibliju govoreći da se baš u njoj nalazi sva istina koju o Njoj naučava Crkva Katolička!” Cornacchiola je shvatio da odbacujući istine da je Marija Majka Božja, da je Bezgrešno Začeće, nismo u stanju ući u puninu objave, nismo u stanju shvatiti svu puninu djela spasenja koje je izvršio Njezin Sin, Bog-o-Čovjek, Isus Krist. Majka je Božja držala Sveto pismo na svome srcu, kao svoga Sina. na taj način je dala do znanja svima koja je vrijednost i važnost Svetog pisma-jer Bog nam u svojoj Riječi daje odgovore na sva pitanja i probleme života. Majka nas poziva da svaki dan čitamo Sveto pismo i razmišljamo o pročitanom tekstu.
    Gospa je zatim rekla Bruni:“Ja sam Ona koja je u Presvetom Trojstvu.” To znači da se njen poseban odnos kao čovjeka spram svake Božanske Osobe temelji na činjenici da se u Njezinoj utrobi nastanio Sin Božji. Marija je od svog začeća u potpunom Božjem vlasništvu: savršeno čista, slobodna od ikojeg grijeha i zato može postati Majkom Sina Božjega. Za vrijeme svoga zemaljskog života odlikovala se poniznom i nepoljuljanom vjerom i savršenim vršenjem Božje volje. Svojom vjerom i sjedinjenjem s mukom i trpljenjem Kristovim na Križu postala je Majka svih ljudi u redu milosti. Njezina savršena čistoća izvor je posebne ljepote i nadnaravne moći koja gazi Sotonu.
    Istovremeno je Marija potvrdila Bruni Nauk same Crkve, kada mu je govoreći o Papi i Crkvi, rekla da Objava nije samo u Svetom pismu, već i u tradiciji Crkve-znači u svemu onom što se nalazi u predaji i u doktrinarnom naučavanju Učiteljstva Crkve koje se prenosi s pokoljenja na pokoljenje! Ova je istina zasnovana na obećanju samog Krista Gospodina kada je svojim učenicima rekao da nisu u stanju u tom trenutku sve shvatiti i nositi, no: “kada dođe on, Duh Istine, uvest će vas u svu istinu. “(Iv 16, 13) Ovo imajte na umu, da nijedno proročanstvo nije došlo od ljudskoga htijenja, nego su ljudi govorili od Boga, potaknuti od Duha Svetoga! (usp. 1 Pt 1, 20).
    Zadnju riječ uvijek ima Učiteljstvo Crkve.
    Postoji, dakle, dvostruka dimenzija, dva izvora po kojima imamo pristup Objavi, a to su Sveto pismo i Učiteljstvo Crkve.
    Bruno Cornacchiola prvotno je napustio Crkvu zbog ignorancije, radi vlastitog neznanja-nepoznavanja objavljenih istina. Također i danas iz istih razloga nepoznavanja evanđelja i istina vjere mnogi napuštaju Crkvu i izdaju Isusa, prelazeći u razne sekte, “egzotične religije” ili živeći kao da Boga nema. Zbog te ignorancije (neznanja i lijenosti da upoznaju) ljudi odbacuju najveće blago pripadnosti Kristu prisutnom u Crkvi Katoličkoj. Mnogi nisu ni svjesni kako je nepoznavanje istina katoličke vjere i Svetog pisma veliki grijeh propusta. Papa Pio XII., jednom je prigodom kazao da se: “Crkva… boji samo jednog neprijatelja-ignorancije (ravnodušnosti), tj.nepoznavanja katoličke vjere.”

    Obratite se, ali istinski!

    Marija je u svojim ukazanjima pozvala Brunu na obraćenje! Obraćenje koje znači prepoznati svoje grijehe, odbaciti grijeh i zlo, svim srcem se pokajati za učinjene grijehe, odlučiti čvrsto više ne griješiti, te dati naknadu i zadovoljštinu za počinjeno zlo! Stoga je izuzetno važno redovito pristupati sakramentu pomirenja i što češće sudjelovati u Euharistiji. Euharistija-to je sam Isus koji uprisutnjuje svoje djelo Otkupljenja među nama! Stoga je ona vrhunac i samo srce života Crkve. Bezgrešna je ujedno upozorila na potrebu istinske i ustrajne svakodnevne molitve. Na poseban je način naglasila važnost molitve Krunice. “Zapamti sine-govorila je Bruni-da Krunica nije molitva upućena samo Meni, već Presvetom Trojstvu, u kojem sam prisutna. Upamti: Krunica uči poniznosti, poslušnosti, ljubavi i brani pred opasnostima ovoga svijeta, opasnostima krivog morala, kušnjama protiv vjere, protiv mira, obitelji i cijelog čovječanstva. Sine moj, Krunica je malo Evanđelje, bedem protiv napadaja đavolskih sila. Moli i bit ćeš jak. Ja ću biti s tobom. ovo je Majčino obećanje.”
    Drugom prilikom, Bezgrešna je pozvala:” Molite i činite pokoru!” Prava pokora je uzajamna ljubav i praštanje, dakle život zapovijedi ljubavi prema Bogu i bližnjemu. Svakodnevna uzajamna ljubav, podnošenje i opraštanje vrijede više nego najstroži post i druga odricanja.

    Čudo sunca

    Dana 12. travnja 1980. godine, na obljetnicu Marijina ukazanja, za vrijeme svete Mise održane u spilji u Tre Fontane sabrani su ljudi vidjeli čudo sunca koje je trajalo 30 minuta. Čudo sunca navijestila je Gospa pet mjeseci ranije samom Bruni. Svjedoci su vidjeli kako je sunce stalo iznad špilje te se počelo kretati u znaku slova M koje je bilo okruženo zvijezdama i svjetlošću koja je mijenjala boje. Nakon nekog vremena slovo M zamijenila su slova IHS, a kasnije su se pojavili Isus i Gospa. U Otkrivenju sv.Ivana govori se o Ženi obučenoj u sunce. Ovo je znak da je marija prva od ljudi uznesena na nebo i da sudjeluje u životu Presvetog Trojstva. Objavljujući se ponovno 23.veljače 1982. godine, Majka Božja je upozorila Brunu na skori planirani atentat na papu Ivana Pavla II. Proroštvo se ispunilo 12. svibnja iste godine u Fatimi, kada je služba sigurnosti spriječila ponovni pokušaj atentata na Svetog Oca.
    Čudo sunca ponavljalo se nekoliko puta; 12. travnja 1982., a posljednje se zbilo 12. travnja 2006. godine. Ovako opisuje čudo jedna svjedokinja: “Nakon Mise u svetištu Tre Fontane javila sam se na telefon i čula glas kako pita: `Vidite li sunce?` Izišle smo na balkon i gledale sunce. Kretalo se i mijenjalo boje: zelena, bijela i roza… U trenucima je bilo poput Hostije. Kucalo je kako i svako ljudsko srce. Čudo je trajalo oko 20-tak minuta i donijelo nam je puno radosti i mira.”

    Darivajte dar vjere

    Majka Božja u Tre Fontane nije pozvala svoju djecu samo da što bolje upoznaju i produbljuju svoju vjeru, već da tu vjeru poklanjaju jedni drugima kao dar! Rekla je Bruni: “Obraćaj se svaki dan, ali trudi se također da ovaj dar vjere primi i tvoja obitelj, tvoji suradnici, susjedi i svi ljudi s kojima se susrećeš. Svi ljudi s kojima se susrećeš Isusov su dar tebi! Oni očekuju od tebe da drugima svjedočiš svoju vjeru i nadu. I nemoj misliti samo na sebe. Što više budeš druge darivao vjerom, tim će više ona u tebi rasti.”

    Na periferiji Rima, nalazi se miesto nazvano Tre Fontane, Tri Vrela. Tu je i jedna pećina. Dana 12. travnja 1947. godine, ukaza se Djevica Objave Brunu Cornacchioli, radniku rimskog tramvaja, i njegovoj djeci.
    U blizini mjesta Tri Vrela, nalaze se tri svetišta. Prvo se diže nad mjestom gdje je Apostol naroda položio svoj život za Gospodina. I danas je u crkvi stup na kojem su svetom Pavlu odsjekli glavu; sveta glava se tri puta odbila od obronka, a gdje se dotakla, izbilo je vrelo. Tako je taj kraj i nazvan Tri Vrela. U blizini je i crkva otaca trapista, uz koju je i trapistička opatija. Tu je nekada živio veliki Marijin štovatelj sveti Bernardo; odatle se širila Bernardova nauka i pobožnost prema Djevici. Nedaleko odatle je i crkva, sv. Marija Ljestve u nebo. Tako je nazvaše po jednom viđenju svetog Bernarda. Za vrijeme dok je sveti Bernard jednom služio sv. Misu, ugleda ljestve, koje su se pružale od čistilišta do neba; po ljestvama su se penjale duše oslobođene po sv. Misi, a na vrhu ih je dočekivala Marija i uvodila u Nebo.
    U ovoj posljednjoj crkvi nalazi se prava riznica: u nioj su moći svetih Vojnika, kršćanske legije kojom je zapovijedao sveti Zenon, a koju je car Dioklecijan pogubio, jer se ne htjedoše odreći svete vjere.
    U dvorištu se i danas nalazi stup, s natpisom koji govori o Bernardovoj pobožnosti prema Mariji. Kad god je prolazio pored slike Majke Božje, on je pozdravljao:
    — Zdravo Marijo!
    — Zdravo Bemarde, odgovori mu ona jednom.
    Na mjestu Tri Vrela bila je pećina i šuma eukaliptusa, koju su zasadili oci trapisti, ali pod naletom novog poganskog duha, ovo mjesto je postalo prljavo i griješno.
    Nekada, davno, i pećina u Lurdu bila je sastajalište sotonista, kao što je i ova špilja bila mjesto grijeha. Ali, Ona koja je stala petom na glavu zmije, razbijala je moć Sotone širom svijeta.
    To, simbolično izražava i Njena pojava u ovim pećinama, kao i u novim Babilonima: Parizu, Njujorku…
    Ona, koja je trgala udove mističnog tijela Sotone (kako bi kazao sveti Grgur Veliki), da bi ih posvećivala i ugrađivala u mistično Tijelo Kristovo, izabrala je Bruna Cornacchiola, koji bijaše otpao od Crkve, postao pristalica jedne sekte, i došao upravo u ovu šumu, gdje je bio zasjeo uz jedno stablo, da pripremi govor koji je trebalo za Uskrs održati, upravo protiv — Majke Božje. Nikada neće izreći tog govora. Toga proljetnog dana on će se obratiti. Ova pećina više neće biti mjesto grijeha, već mjesto pobožnosti.
    Nego pogledajmo najprije, tko je taj B. Cornacchiola. Kršten kao katolik, u svojoj ranoj mladosti i iskreno pobožan štovalac Spasiteljeva Presv. Srca i Bl. Dj. Marije, kasnije je skrenuo s pravog puta. Katoličku je vjeru odbacio i postao protestant, a stupio je i u organizaciju, koja ga je obvezivala na ateizam. Napose je fanatički mrzio Presv. Euharistiju, Bl. Dj. Mariju i Sv. Oca Papu. Protiv njih je držao i javne govore.
    U svojoj je kući poskidao sa zidova sve znake vjere, lomio ih i gazio nogama. U vezi s time tukao je i svoju ženu. Papu Pija XII, koji je bio utjelovljena anđeoska blagost, tako je fanatički mrzio, da je na posebnom bodežu napisao riječi: »Smrt Papi!« i samo čekao na zgodnu priliku, u kojoj će ga rinuti Papi u srce.

    A spomenutog dana dogodiše se čude stvari. Najprije djeci, a onda i njemu ukazala se Majka Božja. Bio je kao izvan sebe, kad je, sastavljajući pod stablom svoj naumljeni govor protiv Bl. Dj. Marije, podigao glavu
    i ugledao svoje najmlađe dijete, Ivicu, kako pred spiljom nepomično kleči, drži sklopljene ruke na molitvu i gleda u otvor spilje. Nije to dijete bilo kršteno, a kamoli da bi se znalo moliti!
    Otac se podigne sa zemlje, pođe prema djetetu i još se većma začudio, kad je čuo kako mu dječačić u zanosu ponavlja riječi:
    »Lijepa Gospođo!…« Na očeva pitanja dijete ni da se gane.
    Uzbuđeni otac zovne sada svoju kćerkicu od 10 godina, Izolu. No i ona brzo pada na koljena, sklapa ruke, ožarena je u licu i ponavlja iste riječi kao i mali braco. Otac, sav izvan sebe, zove i svoje treće dijete, Karla, kojemu je tek bilo 6 i po godina, no i ono brzo pada na koljena, sklapa ruke, upravlja pogled prema otvoru spilje i raširenih očiju, a u licu svijetao i sav ushićen, ponavlja iste riječi, kao i mlađi brat i starija sestra: »Lijepa Gospođo!« Otac ne može nikako da se snađe. Napola lud, baca svoje oči sad na djecu, sad prema otvoru spilje. Odjednom gle, kao da ga grabi neka snažna sila. Nečije ruke kao da mu stišču oči. S njih pada nešto kao zastor, a pred njim je sama svjetlost. Spilje kao da više nije bilo, već usred svjetla gleda neobično mili lik nebeske pojave Majke Božje. Gleda ga onako kako to umije samo nebeska Majka. Na njoj je dugo bijelo odijelo, a opasana je crvenim pasom, koji joj na desnoj strani visi do koljena u dva lijepa traka. Preko odijela ima blještav ogrtač, koji joj seže sve do gležanja. Bosim se nogama nalazi na kamenu, usred pećine. Ruke drži na prsima, lijeva je slobodna, a desnom pritišće knjigu sive boje.
    Ta njezina neobična ljubaznost, pomalo ga i zbunjuje. Svjestan je svojih teških grijeha počinjenih protiv nje, a i planova za budućnost. Zar ga nije zatekla u spremanju govora protiv nje? I zbilja njemu je jasno, da je njezin smiješak pun nebeske miline i praštanja, ali i pun boli zbog njegova odmetnuća. I prijekora! Zar ona siva knjiga ne označuje njegovu protestantsku bibliju, kojom se je uvijek služio u svojim napadajima protiv katoličke Crkve? I vidi posve jasno kako ona miče lijevom rukom, i kažiprstom upire na zemlju, gdje leži crno platno, a do njega polupano raspelo.
    — Ja sam ona koja se nalazim u Božanskom Trojstvu. Ja sam Djevica Objave.
    Odmah je shvatio o čemu se radi. Pogotovu, kad mu je odlučnim glasom rekla: *Ti me progoniš!… Sad je dosta!«
    Rekla mu je i razlog, radi kojeg je postigao milost obraćenja. Ima je zabtvaliti pobožnosti 9 prvih petaka, što ih je obavio, dok je još bio dobar.
    — Božja zakletva jeste i ostaje nepromjenjiva, spasilo te devet petaka Presvetog Srca, koje si obavio. Njegove su mu zablude i grijesi bili posve jasni. U srcu osjeća radi njih veliku bol. »Šta mu je raditi?!« pita sam sebe. Izgledao je kao teški bolesnik, koji se pomalo oporavlja. I tri mjeseca kasnije imao je još uvijek taj bolni izgled. Majci Božjoj je bilo sve predobro poznato, i ona mu ljubezno odgovara: »Vrati se u sveto stado, u nebeski dvor na zemlji!« Dakle vratiti mu se treba u krilo katoličke Crkve, koja je svakome, koji živi po njezinoj nauci, Nebo na zemlji. Poučila ga je i o zabludama, što ih je svojim govorima protiv Nje sijao: »Moje tijelo nije istrunulo, niti je moglo trunuti! Moj Sin i anđeli došli su da me uzmu na dan moga preminuća!«
    Preporučuje mu molitvu, a posebno njoj osobito milu — krunicu. Jer je u molitvi silna moć, po njoj će dobiti sve milosti: »Molitva je zlatna strelica, što izlazi iz usta vjernika i stiže do Božjeg Srca!«
    Potiče ga, neka izbjegava grijehe, koji su tako mrski Bogu i njoj.
    Posebno ga upozoruje na neke vrste duševnih bijednika: na bezbožnike, raskolnike, psovače, bludnike i lakomce. Stavlja mu na srce, da se mnogo moli i druge potiče na molitvu za njihovo obraćenje i za jedinstvo Crkve.
    Njemu pak samom odredila je dva svećenika, koji će ga izmiriti s Bogom i povratiti pravoj Crkvi, Nije mu rekla njihova imena, nego način kako će ih naći: »Svećenik, koji te pozdravi riječima: »Zdravo Marijo, sine!« uputit će te svećeniku, koji će te izmiriti s Bogom. A svećenik, koji će ti reći, da ga nešto vuče k tebi, odvest će te Sv. Ocu, kome ćeš odnijeti moju poruku i zamoliti ga za oproštenje zbog otpada od vjere i svetogrdne borbe, što si je vodio protiv njemu.«
    Prorekla mu je i protivštine, koje ga čekaju, no neka se ne boji, jer će mu ona majčinski priskočiti u pomoć, kad ga svi prezru i napuste. »Budi razborit prema svima!« — riječi su, kojima ga je potaknula na opreznost.
    Nasmiješivši se ljupko ocu i djeci, povuče se tri koraka natrag, okrene se i nestade je, a za sobom je ostavila krasan miris. Kad se je okrenula, i djeci i ocu zasja pred očima njezin sjajni zeleni ogrtač.
    Prvi se od zanosa trgne Karlo, skoči i poleti k zidu pećine, uhvati se rukama za zid i vikne: »Lijepa Gospođo!… Zeleni ogrtač!…« Sad sve troje djece navali na oca: »Tko je bio ta Lijepa Gospođa? … Šta ti je rekla? …« »Gospa«, odgovori blijedi otac. »Poslije ću vam sve pripovijedati!« On je odmah u polumraku špilje u svoju bilježnicu unio sve, što mu je Bl. Dj. Marija rekla. Prije nego će otići, napiše izvana na spilji: »U ovoj pećini, 12. travnja 1947. godine, Djevica Objave ukazala se protestantu Bruni Cornacchioli.« Ime »Djevica Objave« upotrijebio je jer tako mu se Bl. Dj. Marija predstavila. Ukazanje je trajalo od 16. do 10. m do 17. s. 30 m.
    S dubokim dojmovima u duši silazili su obraćeni otac i sretna djeca niz humak i najprije se, na želju oca, navratiše u crkvu, posvećenu Bl. Dj. Mariji, koja je pripadala Oo. Trapistima, duhovnim sinovima jednog od najnježnijih štovatelja i propovijednika Bl. Dj. Marije, naučitelja sv. Crkve — sv. Bernarda.
    Tu se ocu iza toliko godina opet otvore usta na molitvu, a djeci prvi put u životu. Glasom, koji djeca nisu dotle još nikada čula, reče im: »Uvijek sam vam govorio, da Isus nije …« i upre rukom prema svetohraništu. »Ne! On se nalazi ondje unutra, u onoj kućici! Molite mu se!« A onda sam uroni u molitvu kajanja i klanjanja, zahvale i odluke … Duša mu je bila puna i izlijevao ju je pred Gospodinom Isusom, kojega je opet našao i uzljubio svim žarom srca.
    Kad su došli kući, žena opazi na mužu neku čudnu promjenu. Vrlo ju je iznenadio onaj ugodni miris, što su ga svojim povratkom unijeli u kuću. Nije ih samo gledala upitnim pogledom, već je i ustima “formirala pitanje. Otac je skoro plačnim glasom poslao djecu u krevet, a onda se ženi obratio riječima: »Vidjeli smo Gospu! … Molim te za oproštenje, što sam te mučio, Jolando! … Znaš li moliti krunicu? …«
    »Ne sjećam se dobro!« — odgovara ganutim glasom žena, a onda se oba bace na koljena, da mole krunicu onako, kako su znali… Prve »zlatne strelice« u stanu obraćene obitelji!
    I na našem obraćeniku opazilo se ono, što se stalno ponavlja u povijesti Marijinih objava širom svijeta: »Koji je jedanput vide, stalno čeznu da je i opet ugledaju. Naš obraćenik Bruno ne bi gledao ni na umor ni na kasno doba, nego bi hrlio k pećini kod Tri Fontane, kadgod bi navečer iza službe uhvatio nešto slobodnog vremena. Tu bi uzeo u ruke krunicu, bacio se na koljena i molio, molio …
    Srce mu je bilo puno i nije bio u neprilici, što da moli. Molio bi nebesku Majku, da mu se još više otkrije, molio bi za zalutalu braću, za jedinstvo Crkve, da se što prije susretne sa svećenicima, koji će ga vratiti u ovčinjak Kristov, što ga je bio ostavio, i odvesti Sv. Ocu Papi…
    Potpuna mira još nije bio našao. Svojim očima bi lovio svakog svećenika, što bi ga bilo gdje susreo, i stalno bi se pitao: »Nije li to onaj?«
    Konačno je prvoga ipak našao. Ujutro, 28. travnja, uđe u crkvu Svih Svetih (crkva Oo. glasovitoga Don Oriona na Via Appia Nouova) i tu se postavi uza zid sakristije. Bio je sav snužden. Neki mladi svećenik jako se žuri. On ga ipak zaustavlja: »Oprostite, oče. želio bih vam reći jednu riječ!« »Zdravo Marijo. sine! Recite hitno! Žuri mi se! Moram pričestiti vjernike, a onda ponijeti sv. Pričest bolesniku!« »Napokon eto Marijina znaka. To je onaj prvi!« I Bruno brzo izasu: »Ja sam protestant, a želio bih postati katolikom!« »A tako! Dobro! Ja ću vas odvesti svećeniku, koji će to učiniti.« I odvede ga drugom svećeniku, koji ga sasluša, pozove njega i ženu mu na pouku, i bi određen 7. svibnja za obred primanja njih dvoje natrag u Crkvu. Uoči toga dana požuri Bruno k pećini da moli za pomoć Majke nebeske. Spusti se na koljena, uze krunicu i uroni u molitvu … I gle, spilja zasja jakim svjetlom, i on ponovo ugleda Majku Božju. Gledala ga je milim materinskim pogledom, a onda se bez riječi udalji.
    Sutradan se roditelji sretne djece odreku pred svećenikom svojih zabluda i budu vraćeni u krilo Katoličke Crkve, a 17. svibnja krstiše još nekršteno najmlađe dijete Ivicu. Brunina je sreća postigla svoj vrhunac. Pronašao je i drugog svećenika, koji će ga po Marijinoj odredbi odvesti Sv. Ocu Papi. Bruno je često ulazio u crkvu Svih Svetih, a neki bi ga svećenik tu uvijek čudno gledao. I jednoga dana upadne taj svećenik u Brunin stan. Čitav se je stan te siromašne obitelji sastojao od samo jedne sobe. I taj svećenik upravlja Bruni riječi: »Cornacchiola, moram ti govoriti… Ne znam … Osjećam kako me k tebi nešto vuče«.
    Točno, kako mu je prorekla Bl. Dj. Marija. Bruno mu otkrije svoju tajnu i sprijateljiše se.

    Po želji tog svećenika odoše njih dvojica 23. svibnja do Tre Fontane. U spilji kleknu i mole radosnu krunicu. Kod treće Zdravomarije druge desetke Bruno zašuti. Svećenik ga pogleda i opazi, da je u licu posve blijed, zanesen i čuje ga kako, šapčući, ponavlja riječi: »Kako je lijepa! …« A onda se okrene svećeniku i rekne mu: »Opet je došla! …« Svećenik nije vidio ništa, ali je osjetio ljupke mirise i napuni se tolikom svetom radošću, da je nekom mladiću, koji je baš toga časa banuo u Šumu, viknuo: »Gospa!… Ukazala se Gospa u pećini!« Tako sazna Rim, a brzo i ostali svijet za Marijino ukazivanje kod Tre Fontane. Ljudi su hrlili k mjestu Gospina ukazivanja, kajali se za svoje grijehe, molili se i vraćali boiji svojim domovima. Kako je Gospa odmah prigodom svog prvog ukazanja rekla tramvajskom namješteniku Bruni, da će zemlju u pećini očistiti i posvetiti, pa će odsele služiti kao lijek bolesnima na duši i na tijelu, tj. postati čudotvorna i poslužiti kao vrhunaravno sredstvo za obraćanje grješnika i ozdravljivanje bolesnika, to bi posjetnici spilje na povratku kući uvijek ponijeli sa sobom i štogod te zemlje. Pećina je puna ploča zahvalnica za primljene milosti. Prve su godine mnogi osjećali i neobične mirise, koji bi dolaziii iz spilje i širili se daleko, posebno prigodom nekih svetkovina.
    Ali su ljudi salijetali i Brunu Cornacchiolu, koji je svima rado govorio o »Djevici Objave« i poticao ih na posjećivanje svetoga mjesta, a bio i sretan, što je baš u to vrijeme kao tramvajski namještenik bio zaposlen na liniji Crkva sv. Pavla – Tre Fontane. Njegove misli i srce bih su stalno na mjestu svoje velike sreće. Ali ga duša nije samo vukla k svetoj spilji, već je tražio i mjesta svojega prijašnjeg djelovanja, ne bi li pružio zadovoljštinu za sve ono zlo, što ga je bio nanio Bogu, Mariji i Crkvi, a one, s kojima je radio na zavađanju duša ili ih je sam zaveo, vratio na pravi put. U tom je poslu bio pripavan i na trpljenje.
    Tako je znao od svojih starih drugova biti obasut pogrdama, pa i fizičkim napadajima, ali bi svoj apostolat i dalje mirno nastavljao. Upotrebijavao bi uvijek lijepe riieči, a osobito se je puno molio i prikazivao žrtve, da ljude predobije za Boga i život vjere. Svete pričesti u prve petke za obraćenje grješnika započeo je odmah iza svog povratka u Crkvu, a krunicu je imao uvijek uza se.
    30. svibnja, uza sav umor, požuri i opet do mjesta svoje sreće. Klekne, izvadi krunicu i moli. Pećina i opet zasja velikim sjajem. Pred njim je i opet nebeska Majka i govori mu: »Idi k mojim kćerima, pobožnim Učiteljicama Filipovkama, i reci im, neka se mnogo mole za nevjernike i radi nevjere svoga kraja!« I Bruno požuri, da dobrim redovnicama odnese Marijinu poruku.
    Ovaj prikaz ukazanja Majke Božje, »Djevice Objave« kod Tre Fontane, u okolici Rima, svršavamo riječima samoga sretnog Brune Cornacchiole, kako ih donosi pri koncu svoje knjige, pod naslovom: »Cornacchiola priznaje« — »Plačući predao sam bodež«, njemački pisac P. Leo Marija Ort:
    »Draga braćo i sestre! Nosio sam još i drugu muku u svom srcu, koju hoću da vam sad ispripovjedim, jer tko zna, kad ćemo se opet vidjeti. U svom sam srcu nosio brigu za bodež, s kojim sam se zakleo da ću ubiti Papu. Ispovjednik mi je rekao:
    »Nemoj o tome nikome ništa reći. Čekaj na zgodu, u kojoj ćeš ga moći osobno predati u ruke Sv. Ocu.«
    Čekao sam. I došao je 9. prosinac 1949. Sv. Otac Papa, koga je propaganda bezbožaca, slobodnih zidara i krivovjeraca strašno napadala, pozvao je grupu radnika k sebi, da s njima moli u svojoj privatnoj kapeli krunicu. Među tim radnicima nalazio sam se i ja. Sv. Otac nije to znao. Ja sam ponio bodež i bibliju, što sam je tumačio krivo, po svojoj samovolji. Na njoj su bile zabiljene riječi: »To će biti smrt katol. Crkvi s Papom na čelu.«
    Obadvoje htjedoh predati sv. Ocu!
    Iza svršetka krunice okrene se Sv. Otac nama. Zbilja: »Pastor angelicus!« (= Anđeoski Papa — prema glasovitom proročanstvu Malahijinu). U bijelo odjeven, s raskriljenim rukama, kao Anđeo, koji je raširio krila da poleti. On reče:
    »Jedan od vas želi sa mnom govoriti!«
    Ja kleknem i viknem: »Svetosti, to sam ja!«
    Svi radnici učiniše mjesto. Sv. Otac dođe do mene, sagne se prema meni, stavi svoju ruku na moje rame, približi svoj obraz mojemu i upita:
    »Šta je, moj sinko!«
    »Tu je, Svetosti, protestantska biblija, kojn sam krivo tumačio i čime sam upropastio mnoge duše.«
    Plačnći predadoh i bodež, na kojemu napisah: »Smrt Papi!«
    »Molim za oproštenje, što sam se usudio to i pomisliti. Svetosti, imao sam u planu ubiti Vas ovim bodežom!…«
    Sveti Otac uze te predmete, pogleda me, nasmiješi se i reče:
    »Dragi sinko! Time ne bi bio ništa drugo učinio, nego bi Crkvi darovao jednoga mučenika i jednoga papu više, a Kristu pobjedu, pobjedu ljubavi!«
    »Da, ali ja molim još jednom za oproštenje!«
    »Sinko!« reče Sv. Otac, »najbolje je oproštenje pokajanje!«
    »Svetosti! Sutra putujem u bezbožnu Emiliju. Tamošnji su me biskupi pozvali da obavim jedno kružno putovanje u svrhu protupropagande. Imao bih ondje govoriti o Božjem Milosrđu, što me je zapalo posredstvom Presv. Djevice.«
    »Dobro, dobro, ja sam zadovoljan. Pođi s mojim blagoslovom!«
    I on mi dade svoj blagoslov. Održao sam 40 konferencija, pa ipak nisam umio govoriti. Ali mi je Gospodin uvijek pomogao. Mogli smo tom zgodom ustanoviti više od 600 prekida s bezboštvom.
    Nastojat ću predobiti i druge!
    Draga braćo i sestre! Oproštenje, što ga zamolih od Gospođina, primio sam. I Sveti Otac mi je oprostio. Molio sam svoju suprugu da mi oprosti, pa mi je i ona oprostila. A sada molim i Vas, da mi oprostite. Jer svi mi zajedno činimo tajanstveno tijelo Kristovo. Zlo, što sam ga počinio u Rimu, nanio sam i Vama u Abruzzima i u cijelom svijetu. Mi tvorimo jedno tijelo, i, ako ja ranim jednu dušu, ranjavam cijelo tajanstveno Tijelo Kristovo. Stoga molim i Vas za oproštenje zbog svega zla, što sam ga učinio. Vi vidite, draga braćo i sestre, kakvo zlo vlada u svijetu. Nema nikakva mira više u kući. Djeca su protiv roditelja, a roditelji se više ne brinu za djecu. Obitelji se raspadaju, pa dolazi do bračnih rastava, dolazi do grijeha. Dolazi do raznih zala. Postoje i opasna oružja.
    Ta se oružja zovu atomske bombe. Mi ne treba da se bojimo.
    I mi imamo puno oružja, i s njim želimo upoznati one, koji se nazivaju našim neprijateljima:
    Oružje naše vjere,
    Oružje našeg ufanja,
    Oružje naše ljubavi.
    Oružje istine!
    Upitajmo te ljude. da li vjerujui da li ljube, da li se drže ovih triju bijelih točaka:
    Prva bijela točka to je Prestveta Euharistija;
    Druga bijela točka to je Bezgrješno začeće;
    Treća bijela točka to je Papa!
    Slijedeće tri bijele točke: vjera, ufanje i ljubav stupovi su istine. Te tri točke moraju biti jedinstvene, međusobno povezane, jake i pune zanosa. Ako te jedinstvenosti i povezanosti nema, nema ni istine.
    Protestanti vele: »Nema Euharistije, nema Bezgrješne, nema Pape!« Bezbožnici govore: »Nema Pape! I mi bezbožnici stupamo u euharistijskim procesijama, u procesijama u čast Majci Božjoj, ali Papu treba ubiti!« Vidite, manjka jedna od bijelih točaka!
    Ako te tri bijele točke nisu sjedinjene, ljudi nemaju istine!
    Te tri bijele točke ima jedino rimokatatolička, apostolska Crkva.
    To su naša oružja!
    Nasuprot atomskim bombama ovog svijeta nudimo mi svoja još moćnija oružja. Mi im dajemo ime i zovemo ih:
    Atomska bomba molitve,
    Atomska bomba klanjanja,
    Atomska bomba ljubavi k bližnjemu,
    Atomska bomba ljubavi Presv. Djevice prema nama, sveta KRUNICA!
    Držimo je u svojim rukama! Molimo krunicu, ona je štit protiv svakom krivovjerju! Štit, koji nam donosi pobjedu, jer se prihvaćamo mača, koji je Krist, naš Gospodin — put, istina i život« (Iv 14,6).
    Te tri točke i međusobna ljubav jesu oružja, pomoću kojih ćemo mi sigurno pobijediti i postići, da bude na zemlji »jedno stado i jedan pastir« (Iv 10, 16).

    Uskoro Rim sazna za ukazanje Marijino kod Tri Vrela. Narod pohrli u velikoj radoznalosti; mnogi u pobožnosti kleknuše. Imamo pred sobom magazin Oggi od 10. lipnja 1947. Na naslovnoj strani je grupa hodočasnika, djece i odraslih, koji u molitvi kleče pred pećinom. Špilja na mjestu Tri Vrela postat će još jedno mjesto molitve. Oggi će poslije dvadeset i pet godina poslati svog novinara da vidi i opiše plodove tog ukazanja. U Rimu je već 1950. godine, izašla knjiga na našem jeziku, Poruke s Neba, od Viteza Budislava; iz nje smo uzeli neke podatke o ukazanjima kod Tri Vrela.
    Marijina poruka odnosila se na cijeli svijet i Bruno Cornacchiola postat će Marijin apostol, propovjednik obraćenja i jedinstva.
    U Rim, Sveti grad, prodirao je poganski duh u tim poslijeratnim godinama; kao u nekoj neshvatljivoj i dijaboličkoj uroti sve će se učiniti da sveti grad postane grad zemaljskih zadovoljstava; velika propaganda trebalo je da ga učini gradom »slatkog života«, — »dolce vita«. U toj duhovnoj borbi koja se vodi posvuda, Marija silazi na zemlju, u pećinu grijeha, i ukazuje se velikom neprijatelju Crkve, da bi od špilje učinila mjesto hodočašća, od Bruna Cornacchiola napravila apostola, i da bi se u Rimu borila protiv sotonskih sila…

No, unatoč svim promjenama koje bi se mogle dogoditi, Crkva će naći svoje utočište iznova i s punim uvjerenjem u onome što je uvijek bilo u njezinom središtu: u vjeri u Trojedinog Boga, u Isusa Krista, Sina Božjega koji je postao čovjekom, u prisutnosti Duha sve do kraja svijeta. U vjeri i molitvi ona će ponovno prepoznati svoje pravo središte i doživjeti sakramente opet kao štovanje Boga, a ne kao predmet liturgijskog učenja. Crkva će postati više duhovna Crkva, ne pretpostavljajući nekakav politički mandat, ne koketirajući niti s lijevim niti desnim strankama. Biti će to teška vremena za Crkvu jer proces kristalizacije i pojašnjenja stajat će je puno vrijedne energije. To će je osiromašiti i uzrokovati da postane Crkva krotkih. Proces će biti još i teži jer će se morati odustati od crkvene uskogrudnosti pa i od pompozne samovolje. Može se predvidjeti da će za sve ovo trebati vremena. Proces će biti dug i zamoran kao što je bio put od lažnog progresivizma uoči Francuske revolucije – kada se za biskup mislilo da je pametan ako ismijava dogme ili čak da sumnja u samo postojanje Boga – sve do obnove u devetnaestom stoljeću. No, kada ovaj proces postane dio prošlosti, velika će moć poteći iz ovakve više produhovljene i pojednostavljene Crkve . Ljudi u potpuno planiranom svijetu naći će se neopisivo usamljeni. Ako su u potpunosti izgubili iz vida Boga, oni će osjećati cijeli užas svog siromaštva. Tada će otkriti malo stado vjernika kao nešto posve novo. Otkriti će ga kao nadu koja je im je namijenjena, odgovor koji su uvijek tražili u tajnosti. I tako mi se čini da se Crkva suočava s vrlo teškim vremenima. Prava kriza jedva da je počela. Moramo računati na nevjerojatane preokrete. Ali sam isto tako siguran u ono što će ostati na kraju: ne Crkva političkog kulta, koja je umrla još s Gobelom (op. Jean-Baptiste-Joseph Gobel) nego Crkva vjere. Ona možda više i neće biti dominantna društvena sila u mjeri u kojoj je bila sve donedavno, ali će uživati u svježem procvatu i biti prepoznata kao čovjekov dom, gdje će naći i život i nadu nakon smrti.

    Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

    This is Jesus’ first cry from the Cross of Calvary. It is not recorded anywhere in the Scripture but here in the Book of Luke. Jesus has been beaten, flogged with razor tipped whips. He has been forced to the Cross. His dignity has been stripped from Him, along with His clothes. But look at His first cry from this bloody Cross. He doesn’t cry out in pain. Peter said,

    Reviled, He reviled not again. Suffering, Jesus did not threaten those who hurt Him. Jesus committed Himself to the Father, for He judges righteously (my paraphrase of 1 Peter 2:23). Listen to His words:

    “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do”

    You, like myself, have probably been at time misjudged or betrayed by a friend. We do not like this, and often bear scars in our hearts from the betrayal. Yet Jesus does not rail against the seeming injustice of what He is going through. No, He pleads FOR US. He prays FOR THOSE WHO HURT HIM.

    Jesus Christ had to die to bring us to God.

    The Way Of The World Is To Be Self Focused

    When Jesus preached His first sermon, He preached it to His greatest enemy, Lucifer, also called satan and the devil.
    Where did satan come from? He was created of God to be an archangel. The beauty and power that Lucifer had, he had from the Grace of God. If you have talent, if you have beauty, if you have life, you have it of God. You are not better than others. You have been blessed. Lucifer – his name means “Shining One” – was greatly blessed of God. God said of Lucifer through the Prophet:

    “You, O Lucifer, are an anointed Angel that oversees Heaven. I put you in your place. I gave you charge over the other angels. I, the Lord Your God, made you perfect … but you found iniquity (my paraphrase of Ezekiel 28:14-15)”

    Lucifer was put in a perfect place, but wanted more. He was given the keys to Heaven, but wanted the Throne of God. When Lucifer was cast out of Heaven, his first mission was to bring humanity into his ways. “Eve, neither you nor Adam will die if you eat that which is forbidden. Oh no! God knows that when you eat of this fruit, you will be like Him, Triune, eternal, knowing good and evil” (see Genesis 3:1-5). Eve ate, and Adam ate. What is the result?

    Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

    But God was not satisfied with this. He could have destroyed all things, but would not. So God sent His Only Son:

    John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    The devil taught Adam that the way forward was to do as he did. Seize control. Take the Throne of God. He tried to get Jesus our Lord to do the same thing.

    Taken into the wilderness by the Spirit of God, satan tempted our Master (Matthew 4:1-11), just as he tempts us. In each of the three temptations, satan tried to get Jesus to put Jesus first. This is what we do, and what we are tempted to do every day, to put OURSELVES first.

    Hungry, the devil tempted Jesus to feed Himself by turning stones into bread. Abandoned, the devil tried to get Jesus to tempt God by testing Him.
    Exalted, the devil tempted Jesus to worship another god.

    With each temptation Jesus rebuked satan. He refused to put Himself first, to follow Adam’s lead.

    Hungry, Jesus preferred the Word of God. “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4).

    Abandoned, Jesus would not anger His Father. “ It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.” (Matthew 4:7).

    Exalted, Jesus would only worship the Lord our God. “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. (Matthew 4:10)”.

    Matthew 4:17 Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

    Repent. Stop mimicking satan, and
    turn to the God Who created you. Follow Him!

    As Jesus preached and healed, multitudes of people followed Him (Matthew 4:25). Jesus went up into a high mountain and preached what we call “The Sermon on the Mount” (Matthew 5,6, & 7), the longest sermon our Lord ever preached. Multitudes heard Jesus as He preached the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1).

    At the beginning of His ministry, multitudes followed Jesus. Why? Because He healed them. Because He fed them. Because they thought that Jesus would overthrow Rome, and return Israel to it’s former power. But a people without God are a people in bondage.

    Lucifer lost Heaven when he exalted himself over God.
    Adam lost Eden when he exalted himself over God.
    Israel lost her autonomy when she exalted herself over God.
    America is being robbed of it’s freedom because
    we exalt ourselves over God.

    When it became clear that Jesus was not going to be a shortcut to restoration of Israel, the multitudes that once FOLLOWED Jesus now CONDEMNS Jesus.

    Luke 23:1 … the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate. 2 And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Cæsar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

    Jesus was not perverting the nation. He was calling the nation back to God. Jesus was innocent of what they charge Him with. There was no sin, no lawlessness in Jesus. When Pilate came to judge Jesus, we read:

    Luke 23:13-17 And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people, 14 said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him: 15 no, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him. 16 I will therefore chastise him, and release him. 17 (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)

    Why is Jesus being accused? From the devil’s perspective, Jesus is being accused because He would not support the narcissism that satan loved. Jesus lived to please the Father. Jesus lived to do as the Godhead called Him to do. Neither Pilate the Governor, nor Herod the Roman designated King of Israel found fault with Jesus. “There is nothing worthy of death in Him”. Jesus Christ was without sin. The Bible says,

    Romans 6:23 … the wages of sin is death

    It is sin and selfishness

    that brought death, destruction, disease, and the devil into the world.

    It is sin and selfishness

    that brought forth thorns and thistles (Genesis 3:18).

    It is sin and selfishness

    that brought pain into what should be the joy of child birth (Genesis 3:16).

    It is sin and selfishness

    that caused God to turn His face from us (Isaiah 59:2).

    For every misery we have in this blessed world, it can all be traced back to sin and selfishness.

    Jesus stands before Pilate. I find no sin in this Man. Herod found no reason the kill this Man. Jesus was innocent. Jesus is, as John the Baptist said,

    John 1:29 … the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

    Pilate did not know this. Herod did not know this. “None of the princes of this world knew {this}: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory” (1 Corinthians 2:8). Jesus was, to them, no more than a “carpenter’s Son” (Matthew 13:55). Jesus was an innocent Man. Both Herod and Pilate, Gentiles, knew that He was without sin.

    Luke 23:18-19 …{the multitude} cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas: 19 (who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)

    It was the multitude, following satan, that commanded Jesus’ death. But it was the Godhead – Father, Son, and Spirit – that orchestrated His death.

    Jesus, Who was loved of the Father “before the foundation of the world” (John 17:24), was “foreordained before the foundation of the world” (1 Peter 1:20) “to put away sin by His self-sacrifice”.

    Barabbas the murderer was released, and Jesus, the Innocent Lamb, was sacrificed. We who are sinners are released when we call on Jesus, recognizing Him as the payment for our sins. When we surrender ourselves to Him, He surrenders His death to us.

    The first cry from the Cross was Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. But the night before at Gethsemane, our Jesus prayed three times…

    Matthew 26:39 O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

    There was no other way that we could be saved. Jesus had to die for our sins. Three times Jesus asked for another way, and the Father willed His death. I find it interesting – and I do not believe it to be a coincidence – that Pilate asked the people three times to let Jesus go.

    Luke 23:22-23 {Pilate} said unto them the THIRD TIME, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go. 23 And they {pressured Pilate} with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified.

    There was no sin in Jesus. Jesus came to be our payment for sins in the eyes of God Almighty. Had Jesus had sin in Him, His death would have made little difference to the world. Had Jesus Christ been a sinner like the rest of us are, then His Blood would have been absolutely valueless. It would have been like another animal sacrifice. Yet Jesus Christ was absolutely without sin.

    1 John 3:5 … And ye know that {Jesus} was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

    The Lamb must be without spot or blemish. The Sacrifice cannot have spot or blemish (Numbers 19:2; 28:3, 9, 11). If Jesus were a sinner like us, He could no more pay for our sins than I or you could. It is the:

    Hebrews 9:14 … blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

    It is not our works that save us, but the works of Christ upon the Cross. We are redeemed from this fallen world to serve a Living God.

    1 Peter 1:18-19 … ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

    Jesus Christ is without spot or blemish. He is Perfect, as Perfect as God become Man can be. He is from above, and we are from below (John 8:23). “Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world” (John 8:23). Our Jesus was without sin.

    Our Jesus Was Crucified In A Hell On Earth
    Called Calvarius
    Luke 23:32-33 And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death. 33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.

    Word Study “Calvary”. What an interesting word. This is the only place where “Calvary” is found in the King James. The word rendered “Calvary” is actually the Greek κρανίον, from which we get our word “cranium” or skull. Jesus was crucified at κρανίον, the place of the Skull.

    The Jews called this place Γολγοθᾶ “Golgotha”, which also meant “A place of a skull” (see Matthew 27:33; Mark 15:22; John 19:17). The word “Calvary” entered the King James because the translators referred to William Tyndale’s translation of this passage – and Tyndale used “Calvary” in his rendering of Luke 23:33, borrowing it from the Latin Vulgate.

    “Place Of The Skull” Was “Golgotha” To The Jews, But Calvarius To The Gentiles.

    Calvarius was a horrible place outside of Jerusalem. It was a place where lepers were banished. A place where Rome executed criminals, and left their bodies to decompose. This was a place where Israel, when she was not ruled by Rome, stoned those who broke the Law of God. It was on the other side of the wall that was around the Holy City. It was outside the camp (Numbers 15:36). It was outside the gate of the city. The Sin Offering was burned with fire “outside the camp” (Exodus 29:14). Calvarius was where justice was meted out for both Jews and Gentiles.

    PREACH When man wanted to work his way to God, our Creator had Moses scale Mount Sinai to receive the Law on stone tablets. But when God wanted to save mankind, He sent His Son Jesus from Mount Zion to a place the Romans called Calvarius and the Jews called Golgotha.

    Calvarius is a hopeless place. The Stepson of a Carpenter, I am sure Jesus helped Joseph drive nails as a young boy. The Stepson of a Carpenter, the Son of God now has nails driven into His flesh. In His earthly ministry Jesus often healed lepers, lepers who were banished to Calvarius, in obedience to the Law of God.

    Leviticus 13:46 All the days wherein the plague (of leprosy) shall be in him, he shall be defiled; he is unclean: he shall dwell alone; WITHOUT THE CAMP shall his habitation be.

    Jesus healed many lepers, restored many to their homes, bringing them in from without the camp back into the city by cleansing them. But now Jesus, this innocent and righteous man, He hangs in Calvarius. Jesus used to use this place to illustrate hell and eternal judgment. Calvarius was a place where bones were littered about, and fires constantly burned to keep the decay from the city. As Jesus once taught His disciples, pointing to this place as a place that illustrates eternal damnation, He told us:

    Luke 12:4-5 I say unto you, my friends, be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: fear Him {God}, which after He hath killed, hath power to cast into hell; Yea, I say unto you, Fear HIM!

    Is there a hell? Yes, just as sure as there is a Heaven. Jesus preached of Hell to His disciples. Our God is a just God, a Holy God, and Heaven is a holy and wonderfully righteous place. It will not be religious people who occupy Heaven, but people who are redeemed, righteous in the eyes of God. There is a hell just as there was a Calvarius, a place where justice is finally met. Hell is the spiritual equivalent of Calvarius.

    Why is our Jesus, innocent Jesus, on a cross in this “Place of the Skull”, this hell on earth?

    Because Jesus Is Making Payment For Our Sins
    Luke 23:34-38 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. 35 And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God. 36 And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, 37 and saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself. 38 And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

    People say, “I’m not a sinner”. No? Look at your life. Look at those around the Cross of Calvarius.

    Look at the soldiers, kneeling at His feet. They are not there to worship Jesus. No. The Bible says:

    Luke 23:34 And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

    They part His clothing, and cast dice for it. Jesus is on the hill of Golgotha, the hill of punishment, making payment for their sins. But the soldiers, dotted with Christ’s blood, are unconcerned. A poor man’s clothing is more to them than what Christ is doing. Oh, do not be too quick to judge these men, for many of us are the same. We love things more than God. We love stuff, more than the Creator. What shall it profit a person, if you gain the whole world, but lose your own soul (Mark 8:36)? These soldiers have no eyes for Christ. He is no more to them than the thieves on either side. They just want His clothing. They just want His stuff.

    Luke 23:35 And the people stood beholding.

    Word Study The word “BEHOLDING” is the Greek theōréō, {pronounced theh-o-reh’-o}. If you think of the word, it is close to the English THEATER. That’s what it means. The people were watching Jesus, being entertained. They were spectators. They were watching Jesus, unconcerned over His suffering, entertained by His suffering and bleeding. Jesus was not dying to be an attraction. The Bible says:

    2 Corinthians 5:21 {the Father} hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

    He is dying not to entertain, but to save. He is dying so that we can stand in God’s Heaven, and walk in His Presence every day.

    Luke 23:35 … And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.

    Jesus could not save Himself, if He was going to save us. “It pleased the Eternal God to bruise Him for us; the Father put Jesus to grief. Jesus’ soul was an offering for sin” (my paraphrase of Isaiah 53:10).

    Jesus cannot save Himself, because we cannot save ourselves. He dies, so that we might live.

    Are you a child of God by faith in Christ?
    Our Lord Jesus died a lonely death outside the camp and outside the gate for us. Would you be saved? Then you must go outside the camp and outside the gate to the Cross of Christ. So many lose eternity because they are too PROUD to come to Jesus. “What will my friends think? What will others around me say about me?” Beloved, that is of little concern. We are told in …

    Hebrews 13:12-15 Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. 13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. 14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. 15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

    You will not find salvation from sin and eternal life following the pattern of this world. You will not find the glory of God’s presence in your daily lives unless you go with Jesus outside the gate. Put away your pride. Give yourselves to Him Who loves you this very day. Do not wait, nor hesitate. You, like I, am a sinner. Let us run to Him Who says,

    Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do!

    May God draw you into union with Him this very day. Amen and Amen!

    The Annunciation, well two, actually…

    There are actually two annunciations in Luke 1, the announcement by the angel Gabriel to Zechariah that Elizabeth will give birth to John the Baptist, and then the announcement by Gabriel to Mary that she will give birth to Jesus. The one helps us understand the other, so I am going to take them together.

    Mikeal Parsons in Luke (Paideia Series), says Luke 1:5–56 is organized into three parts:

    the annunciation of the birth of John the Baptist (1:5–25)
    the annunciation of the birth of Jesus (1:26–38)
    the visitation of Mary to Elizabeth (1:39–56)
    Luke’s prologue (1:1-4) is short considering that this is a long gospel. Once he has laid out the purpose of his writing, Luke launches right into the first “annunciation.” Parsons tells us these two annunciations are a literary convention called a dream-vision narrative. They have a form:

    scene-setting
    dream-vision terminology
    dream-vision proper (including a commissioning/invitation)
    reaction/response
    Parsons draws this from Philostratus, Plutarch, Dodson, et al (location 1405 in Luke).

    Luke 1:5 begins, Ἐγένετο ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις, “it happened in those days.” This phrase is common in the Old Testament and Apocrypha (Exodus 2:11, Judges 19:1; 13:2, Judith 1:1, Tobias 1:2). Whenever the gospel writers quote the Old Testament, they are using the Greek translation of the Old Testament, the Septuagint. As the prophets also say, “in the days of King Uzziah of Judah,” (Amos 1:1, Jeremiah 1:1), Luke begins, “in the days of King Herod of Judea.” Luke is immersed in the Hebrew scriptures and assumes his listeners are as well.

    Zechariah and Elizabeth are both “righteous before God.” We are to understand that John the Baptist’s parents were observant and more. They were “blameless” as regards the commandments. They have not been able to have children and are both old (“getting on in years”).

    Dream-visions take place in cultic settings, and this is no exception. Zechariah is a temple priest from the order of Abijah. His wife is from the house of Aaron. He is chosen by lot to offer the incense in the temple. None of this is explained by Luke. He assumes his listeners know. The incense offering took place before the twice-daily sacrifice, called the Tamid. Because there were so many priests, they had to draw lots. Jeremias suggests 24 divisions of priests with 750 per division: 18,000. This may be an exaggeration, but the temple was big business. The privilege of offering incense was done by lottery. Some say that, because of the huge number of priests, and individual priest would only get to do the incense in the temple once in a lifetime.

    Once inside, to the right of the altar, near the door to the holy of holies, amidst the clouds of smoke, the angel Gabriel appeared to Zechariah, and he was absolutely terrified. “Fear not!” Gabriel says (Genesis 15:1, 21:7, 26:24; Numbers 21:34; Isaiah 41:10, 13, 43:5, 44:8; Daniel 10:12, 19; Luke 2:10).

    Gabriel is important in the period between the Old and New Testaments. Gabriel appears in Daniel, the only Old Testament book written in the 400-year period before the New Testament. David Lyle: (Luke: Brazos Theological Commentary on the Bible) points out that Gabriel appears to Daniel (9:20-21) during the evening offering. Gabriel also appears in 1 Enoch 40:9, 2 Enoch 24:1 and in 1QM 9:15-16. In the Talmud, Gabriel stands before the throne of God (Numbers Rabbah 2:10). He is often assumed to be the angel who wrestled with Jacob in the dream (Genesis Rabbah 78:3 and Zohar 2:41b).

    Gabriel tells Zechariah not to be afraid. His prayers have been heard. His wife Elizabeth will give birth to a child, and they shall name him John. He must not drink wine or strong drink (a Nazirite vow?). Before he is born he will be filled with the Holy Spirit (perhaps a reference to Jeremiah 1:5: “Before you were in the womb I knew you, and set you apart…”). He will turn many people to God (Parsons: a ministry of conversion). “With the spirit and the power of Elijah…” He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous, clearly a play on Malachi 4:5-6:

    Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord. And he shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers; lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

    As the incense billows, Zechariah objects, responding with doubt, as do most recipients of angelic commissions. Keep in mind, we don’t know what kind of incense was used. David Lyle: Even righteous, blameless Zechariah “flinches with disbelief.” “How can this be, for I am an old man…?” Recall Abraham and Sarah laughing at God’s promise of a child in their old age? Recall Moses’ reluctance? Jonah? Jeremiah (I am too young…)? Gideon (my tribe is too small)? As a result the angel renders him unable to speak until John is born. Bede: Gabriel “gives him the sign he asks for, that he who spoke in unbelief might now by silence learn to believe” (Homilies on the Gospels 2:20).

    Zechariah staggers out of the temple before the crowd, coughing, let us say, eyes wide open, unable to speak. They realize he has seen a vision.

    The annunciation of Jesus

    Now we arrive at our text. It is a parallel text, but with some differences. Those differences are important.

    In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, Gabriel is sent again, but this time he is sent not to Jerusalem, but to a tiny town in Galilee so insignificant that it is never mentioned in the Old Testament: Nazareth. This time Gabriel is not sent to a cultic setting like the temple, but to a private home. This is no incense-induced vision. This time he is not sent to a man, but to a woman, a virgin, who is engaged to Joseph, from the house of David. Special births in scripture are always announced to the man. For this most important of births, it is announced to a woman.

    The angel appears and says, “Greetings favored one. The Lord is with you.” Zechariah was terrified, but Mary is perplexed. Puzzled. This virgin who has probably not seen many men outside her family, does not throw herself to the floor, but rather ponders what sort of message this might be. This is character development.

    “Greetings favored one,” is unusual. It is only used in Daniel 10, where the angel Gabriel is also assumed to be the speaker.

    Botticelli: Madonna of the Magnificat
    “The Lord is with you,” is also an uncommon phrase. It is only found one other place, in Gideon’s dream-vision of Judges 6.

    Again, Gabriel says, “Do not be afraid.” What will be her assignment? She will become pregnant and give birth to a child. He will be named Jesus. He will be called the Son of God most high, a title reserved only for Caesar. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever.

    Mary objects, as did Zechariah and so many others: “How can this be, since I am a virgin?” The angel’s answer is that the Holy Spirit will descend upon her. Look, the angel says, Elizabeth was barren, and now is with child. And then, “For nothing will be impossible with God.”

    Mary’s response is stunning: ecce ancilla Domini. “Here am I, servant of the Lord…” And then, “Let it be done to me according to your word.”

    One wonders where Luke got these stories. Matthew, Mark and John do not seem to know them. The “lost years” of Jesus represented in the apocryphal gospels are rejected by the early church. David Lyle would have us believe that Luke gets them from Mary. Indeed, Lyle points out that in Botticelli’s Magnificat, Mary is writing, and Luke is holding the ink well.

    These two annunciation stories are similar, but Parsons points out that Jesus’ story is superior in every way. John’s miraculous birth is to aging parents, but Jesus is born of a virgin. John is conceived by intercourse. Jesus is not. Virginity was the highest religious vocation in Greco-Roman culture. This would have meant something in Luke’s milieu. John is prophet of the most high, but Jesus is Son of God most high. Both are great, but John’s role is to make ready for Jesus.

    As the prophets of old, God has revealed through a vision to an old man and a young woman.

    Petrus Christus
    David Lyle likes several other pieces of art. In Petrus Christus, pictured here, Mary has the Bible (Isaiah?) in hand, standing on a church porch, like a bride waiting for her groom. Married to God. This is mostly a theological statement, but of course historically implausible. It is doubtful she would have been allowed to learn how to read at all, and even if she could, it is unlikely that she could afford a scroll (or a codex, as pictured).

    In some artwork Mary is juxtaposed with Eve. Mary is the reversal of Eve. Her obedience to God is in stark contrast to Eve’s disobedience.

    Jacopo Pontormo
    Bonaventure, echoing Bernard of Clairvaux and Bede, emphasizes Mary’s free will. Let it be done to me according to your word. “It is at the precise moment of the Virgin’s consent, for Bonaventure, that ‘the Son of God was conceived’” (Lyle).

    Parsons prefers Pontormo’s Visitation, painted shortly before the posting of the 95 Theses. In this piece of art, Joseph is to the right of Mary and Elizabeth, is looking at Zechariah. With his right hand he points to Mary and Elizabeth. With his left he points above, to the Sacrifice of Isaac, depicted atop the colonnade. Abraham’s sacrifice of Isaac is compared to God’s (and Mary’s) sacrifice of Jesus. Both are atop a hill. The thorns of the thicket where the ram is found are the thorns of Jesus’ crown.

    So what?

    It is fascinating for students of Scripture to delve into the texts, seeking to understand its intricacies. But what is here for the person in the pew, who will go to work Monday morning, seeking the hope and strength to live life? What do your people need to hear? What will they hear as this story is read?

    As a parish pastor, I was always amazed at how many people had experienced a mystical experience of one kind or another. How does God come to us? How does God speak to us? Is the way forward clear sometimes? What do we do when, so many times, the way is not so clear? How do we discern the will of God? How have you, preacher, discerned God’s will in your life? Have you had angelic visitations? Any clear senses of direction? How have you navigated things when the way was not clear?

    Debie Thomas in Journey with Jesus has questions:

    When did you tell your parents you were pregnant?
    Did you tell Joseph yourself, or did the gossipmongers of Nazareth take care of that for you?
    Did anyone in the village believe your story?
    After Gabriel departed, did you doubt his visitation?
    Question your sanity? Fear for your life?
    Can we pull out the feelings the story evokes in a young woman with child? Mary was “much perplexed.” She asks, “How can this be?” Perhaps we are asking the same questions.

    Another direction may be to focus on Mary’s response: “Here I am, servant of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word.” I think Luke wants us to respect Mary’s faith, her trust of God, and willingness to put her life completely into God’s hands. I think Luke might want us to imitate her. Have there been times when the way seemed clear but you were unwilling to take it (like Jonah maybe)? Have here been times when you have said, like Mary, “Here am I, servant of the Lord. Let it be done to me according to your will.”? In that phrase there is a submission to the will of God. What would it mean for you to utter those words? To what is God calling you? What would it look like to turn yourself completely over to the will of God, in perfect trust? What would God have you do? What would God have you be? I invite you: Let go. Let God.

    Can you say these things with me now?

    Here am I.

    Servant of the Lord.

    Let it be done to me according to your will.
